I'm personally hoping to see the Doubles charts for Let's Get Away (which apparently is going to be a 13) and Wicked Plastik sometime soon.

What we didn't get in DDR II that will appear in X3 is more than likely going to transpire into the next US CS version.
Now...i beg to start wondering what this new "star" system is and if it can be done in Local Mode because if not then that's just more amazing stuff that the US and EU can't get without e-amuse service. At least some sort of online service in America and Europe would suffice really

On Twitter, Japanese players were complaining that there were no new western tracks. To me, that pretty much settles it.
We're back to importing Asian kits if we really want the game and honestly that's probably for the best.

You got it the wrong way round. The Japanese are getting content that NA/EU originally had. Nothing about NA/EU actually getting content.
EDIT: Oh wait, but then you factor in the idea that the non-DDR2010 X3 stuff was made FOR X3 in the first place and not DDRII and then OH GOD MY BRAIN HAS COME OUT OF MY EAR AGAIN

I see that the 2nd mix licenses have dance choreography. Any possibilities that the new performances were the ones used to make the S-
charts for those 1st mix songs?

That's mincing words a little too hard. DDR II is a great game (mostly because the games before it were complete trash), but even before the first unlocks are revealed the new KOs, crossovers, licenses, engine, 2ndMIX Mode, etc. show that any relation to X3 has to II is superficial at best.

II is clearly more tied in to X2 than X3 once you get outside the default song list.
I wonder if we'll ever get roppongi EVOLVED ver.D at home though.

Yeah, it was a more of an X2.5 - An interim release. And if that's the direction Konami is going with DDR on the console then I can live with that. Can't wait till "DDR X-III-point-5 VS KONAMIX" next year.

K I have seen most of the new charts and I have to say I am satisfied. Haven't had the chance to listen to listen to any new kos yet but I am looking forward to them.

Wow, this game is DDRII right down to the menu music and most of the visual design choices. I did not expect that. AT ALL.
Here's hoping for some chart changes, but if Unbelievable is anything to go by I wouldn't count on much of any.

None of the charts have changed, which is especially unfortunate for DDR 2010 stuff. I just hope they have the sense to throw away garbage like A Geisha's Dream (Ruffage Remix) and never, ever put it on an AC game.
However, I'm very happy with the AC exclusive charts. That team is really on top of their stuff, I love their steps.

The only chart changes that Konami has ever made from CS to AC are Saber Wing
and Horatio
, both of which are ES/EES Shock Arrow charts.

You see, I love the new charts in the game (including the shock arrow charts, which is a first). I'm glad the AC team has moved past the cluster of bad charts that started around Supernova and pretty much ended with X on the arcades. But I hate that the crappy DDR I and "crappy to decent" DDR II charts are on there with them, because I feel like the quality jump is so out of place :/
Also, I'm really surprised that nobody has posted a removed songs/revivals list yet, as there's bound to be a few. Is it uploaded anywhere?

I loved this new machine, it gave me great joy that revived many old school songs, I also liked the song "mermaid girl" to copy the steps for stepmania

I'm actually glad they just removed licences this time around. I'm a little disappointed though that they didn't revive any songs outside of the 2nd mix songs :/

That's mincing words a little too hard. DDR II is a great game (mostly because the games before it were complete trash), but even before the first unlocks are revealed the new KOs, crossovers, licenses, engine, 2ndMIX Mode, etc. show that any relation to X3 has to II is superficial at best.
>DDR II background music
>DDR II visuals when song is selected
>DDR II songs in default list and enjoy level unlocks
In other words, DDR II has about as much relation to DDR X3 as SN2 US CS had to SN2 AC. Quite a lot, really.
