I listened to all 5 X Mix songs (Butterfly, Boys, ect.) I don't hear an echo at the beginning of any of them, and SuperNOVA was fine your just one of those people who get a kick out of bitching.

I can see something in the above part of the mag screenshot "month 12" or something ( I can't read japanese but certain characters are familiar after so many years following foreign games lol), it's the japanese official release date next month?

I am in agreement with UG. IMHO DDRX fucking sucks. I'll keep my DDRSN2, thanks.

The same way I simply call them X-cuts. They don't sound re-edited or remixed. I'll need to know the songlist if i am to hate
DDR X. It's just that the USA version had an "Ultramix Invasion" in which it had a lot of songs I don't like (as well as IGN).

The DDR X Jap version is konami's last shot at bringing back the fans. Otherwise, we'll get ready for Dance Hero.

The songlist was somehow better on the next ultramixes though.
Moonlight shadow and dam dariram on UM2, ever snow, flashdance and bye bye baby balloon on UM3, Tears and PSM on UM4.

Personally, I find your reasoning a bit overly critical. I'm not trying to tell you what to think or what to like.

However, your comments about making XJP a good mix despite the X-edits is ridiculous. SN2 JP is not worsened by the groove radar songs. It is just a group of songs you don't play if you don't like them. Konami has no obligation to make a mix with everything you or anybody else like. A mix isn't shitty because there are songs that you don't like on it, nor is a song flawed because it doesn't meet your arbitrary expectations.

You may feel that you are pointing out the flaws in the game, when in fact you sound like a whiner. Which is a shame because normally your posts are informative and enjoyable.

I agree with justoneuncle, just because you do not like certain songs does not mean that other people don't like those songs (me, I enjoy the x-mixes, they are pretty decent compared to some of the songs that they have put on in recent games (this means you Wind It Up and Temperature).) You do have the ability to not do the songs, but to just make this claim about Konami seems almost BS-ed because they make an attempt to put on music that appeals to everybody. I am actually waiting for X to come out (AC) to see what other songs they put in besides the one in the NA version.

Instead: Enough of this DDRX bashing from me. I'm not in love with the game that came out recently, you know it, I know it. It's enough already. lol

I would much rather get back to the business of anticipating these titles instead of hating them right from the get go. That and make informative and enjoyable posts!

UG, you know I love you but I will have to respectfully disagree today~
The X-Edits were overly ambitious, sure, but I'm thrilled to have the songs back regardless. If I had to choose with some bits and pieces of BUTTERFLY taped together, or no BUTTERFLY at all, I would most certainly choose for more SMiLE.dk in my DDR!

I'm also thrilled about Koko Soko; it's the best song on Party Around The World if Hummingbird isn't. I've been contemplating cutting and stepping the song myself; SMiLE.dk songs are so easy to cut and step! I have high hopes.

NAOKI feat. SMiLE.dk? Wonderful!! I love NAOKI, and his recent stuff has only been getting better. I always say we need more NAOKI cheese-rave; ever since PAULA TERRY stepped out, we've had a sore lack of the stuff! I absolutely loved Kimochi despite Melody's somewhat breathy vocals and I can't wait to hear what NAOKI can do with SMiLE.dk! I'm also hoping for another B4U, or D2R; a high-energy, classic NAOKI track! The stuff that defines DDR!

If, after all is said and done, I dislike the game, so be it! But for now, heads held high! Beep beep! Here comes the CHEER TRAIN!

That would make sense but... EVERYONE loved 3rd-5th mix. So yes, you can have a game that everyone likes.

Myself included! To be perfectly honest, after the flair of 4thMIX, I wasn't a fan of 5thMIX. Long versions were pretty boring and the song list just didn't leap out at me like 4thMIX. Opinions are treacherous things, yes?
