So, from what I've been reading, there hasn't been any D&Bs that has a machine fully set up/ready to play yet? I would've thought at least one of the SoCal D&Bs would have it ready to go by today.
I called the D&B in Orange, CA twice today. The first time got me nowhere, and on the second attempt, I was simply told that it isn't in yet and that there is no timetable on when it'll be playable. The lady that I spoke to had no idea as to what I was talking about, and advised that I call back tomorrow.Post #1662 · Posted at 2016-07-06 04:35:19am 9.5 years ago

What an ass haha
Boy if only you knew who this guy was Once again, thread is slowly being derailed. I am interested as to the 'events/tournaments' D&B is planning for DDR Ace, are they sponsored officially by Konami? Is this a teaser for a potential KAC for the US? Or will this be like the failed (yet surprisingly hilarious) Konami US DDR Championships?
I'm think it's gonna be more like how Pump It Up handles the World Pump Festival; we're gonna have a US tournament where the winners go to Japan to represent at the KAC. I would love to see this expand outside just DDR though, since I know there are some good IIDX/SDVX players here in the US. Most of them might not pass Mei Another with their eyes closed like the Japanese players can, but they exist. ; )
I'm sure what D&B mean by events, though, are that they are gonna be the same ones Asia gets, except translated to English. I could be wrong, but I wouldn't be shocked if that's what they meant.

Here's the new songs if you want to hear them before they're released:
'
Side note: Hillbilly Shoes is probably the most random AC license ever. At least it's danceable, unlike half of the 2010 songs.

Wait, they got a license for the movie's images? I noticed in the previous promo art the song was using its more general single art.

The distribution of these locations seems bizarre. They're clustering like, three in some large city areas (Dallas area, I'm looking at you with your already two Round1s), while some large cities are being left out, for example: Portland, Minneapolis, Detroit, St. Louis, Denver, etc.. What I'd like to know, is what was the criteria for which locations got them and which ones didn't?
Repeated for truth. I guess they only cared about major cities? It just seems odd that now you have Round 1s and D&Bs competing with even some of their own locations since they're like an hour or two away from each other. Meanwhile, people who don't have access to either are sitting like ducks 7+ hours away from any DDR A machine, despite having a D&B in driving distance.Maybe the cities are just so dense that there are enough customers to go to all the locations, I don't know. Definitely couldn't tell you the two closest locations that have DDR A to grasp how likely it is anyone has to share customers.
Hate to admit it, but it does make sense for my deserted D&B. We have maybe three Pump players and are bleeding Stepmania players who have their own machines. Like 3 malls have died in my lifetime due to lack of people... >_> Boo.

DFW metroplex got 3 machines because the Dallas location is the original location, the euless location just opened, and the frisco location currently does not have any dance machine (they sold there DDR machine a couple months back and don't have a PIU machine). Helps that the corporate office is within 20 miles of all 3 of these locations

I wouldn't mind seeing some more 90s songs like Children and Be My Lover. Lots of euro classics from that decade.

I'm hoping soon, they would add more mainstream music (probably ones that are popular in Japan) and add in more 90's-00's music as well, but I really like the choice of songs so far. (though I find Hillbilly Shoes a bit of an odd addition, I mean when was the last time we saw country music in a DDR game?)
Probably Happy's jacket is like that due to how Despicable Me is really popular in Japan.

The Round 1 in Tukwila, WA is currently "making room". 3 Groove Coaster machines used to be in that empty spot.

Rippin' bro, you cleared it!
