Since the release date for USA and Japan very close, why for almost songs both of them have around 99% same, just like DDR HP before. So, we have at least 99% Japanese licensed or Konamia originals while the other for Japan exclusive only.
If the North American release is as close to the arcade as the Japanese releases are, Aeron will be one happy panda.
Yeah, because if Japan version released very close with USA home version, Konami still have chance to spent money both for Japan ARC and USA home version at same time (But it spent a lot of money twice amount).

What strategy? They pick half the songs from the current AC, a random smattering of previous KOs, and 10 random dance-music-or-not American licenses.
Oh...
Oh...

I like DDR HP1 idea before. Both USA and Japan version released very close (1 month difference) and USA have all new licensed while Japan lost 3 but Japan version have Pluto the First and another Konami original that not released on USA. If licensed songs taken at least 99% from Japan ARC, USA gamer will not complain so much.

"Half" is being a little generous, if we're looking at SuperNOVA2.Oh...

Just to be picky, the US/JP Hottest Parties were only 90% exclusive.

I've just wondered if the lack of info on the songlist is because they really don't have a lot of good songs on this one too just like SN2 USA PS2. I mean they still have songs to put on X that we should have got on SN2. Or it could be just because of that -ugh- Linkin Park concert crap.
Didn't they make Butterfly a -unlock- of all things on DDR X arcade too? The only time a license in a usa version was a unlock was DDR MAX USA.. RHYTHM AND POLICE (K.O.G G3 Mix).
And at what time last year did we get the default song list for SN2 USA?

Ah, true, true, I suppose my rant is aimed squarely at the PS2 versions since, all things considered, Hottest Party was a great first DDR for the Wii and was really enjoyable. Hottest Party 2 looks to be a great improvement as well, so I'm really looking forward to that.Post #1629 · Posted at 2008-08-04 12:10:58am 17.2 years ago

I dunno, I heard some people on 2ch talk about Butterfly appearing after they did something, but I never saw any ratings or anything.

But I have to take issue with the argument that every game has been the same since MAX. They haven't.
Um, what? We've had fewer games than Japan, so you can't expect them to catch up US to them in so few releases. MAX didn't have much to go by, since the arcade version never made it here and Extreme AC was soon to be out. They also wanted to be unique (or at least catering to the US audience) by including some KO debuts as well as exclusive licenses. Yeeaahhh, that's not gonna leave room to repeat all the AC songs. So this has been the trend all along. Even EX2, which you just praised (so do I), followed it. You can hope for a reasonable arcade port, but just know that Konami can't fulfill that request as completely as you'd like.Post #1633 · Posted at 2008-08-04 05:50:12am 17.2 years ago

Well I just came back from vacation to see... no news.
Why aren't they showing anything? Is Konami trying to build the suspense that we're all going to buy the game right away to find out what's in the game?

Gosha on BMS found this, if you watch the high-quality version in full screen, you can get some nice shots of DDR X's result screen. I can't make out what the song banner is though

Ryan is DukAmok btw.
I can't tell which banner it is either. First glance it looked like I'll Make Love To You or Be in my paradise, but thank god it's neither. XD
