I broke Halo!

I just played a Firefight match and somehow got over 30,000+ cR and it said ONLINE CREDIT LIMIT REACHED. W...T...F...

I didn't realize up until just a minute ago that there is a daily cap on cR in Halo Reach and I somehow went beyond it. Not my fault I'm that good...

Yeah, they've had daily cred caps for as long as I can remember. It used to be 60,000cR a day near the beginning, but when they started fleshing out Firefight more, it jumped to 120,000cR a day. Not sure how much it is now.

But damn, 30,000cR in one game? Is 343 really giving away creds like candy now?

I honestly don't know what I did. I just played a long game of Firefight alone because the other person quit and I think I got a Commendation or two while there but when it finished, it said +30,206 on the side plus a bit more in the totals then it gave me that message and I freaked the hell out.

Bungie did. They set the original credit caps as well as designated how much you had to earn to rank up.

I'm not sure if 343 was given full rein of those and/or if they simply chose to leave those as is and just be more generous with credits.

The cR gauge skyrocketed like no tomorrow with so much cR so now I'm ALOT closer to being a Hero. I played another game after all that and total credits was +0.

But damn, even with Commendations I'm lucky to break 10k, and you've seen how I play (lol 50k beechhed), so you know I'm not bad at the game. I imagine I'm going to be in for quite a shock when I go back to Reach for the new achievements.

The cap has been around since day one actually. Although I have never reached it (lol pun. Ahem... ignore that). I know a friend who hit that limit frequently. I've never been able to play Halo that long and/or well in one day to get there. My life always seems to be full of interruptions.

I think I've only hit the cap once, and it was after they bumped it up to 120k. Looking back, I can't imagine what would possess me to play long enough to hit it.
