Maybe if Konami would start implementing more 32nd and 48th streams into more songs (long streams; not just 3 or 5 notes at a time), a decent 20-footer might be possible. But at this point, I don't really care that much anymore. I'd rather see new 19's being perfected before seeing a 20.

The debate between MAX300 and MaxX Unlimited is that: MaxX Unlimited is easier to pass but harder to PFC compared to Max 300. I still think 15 is fine for both but Unlimited got bumped up to a 16 due to the crop of easier 15s [Desert Journey IMO is not a 15].

As for Max. (Period), this is how I did the X-ratings for singles...

I actually find the 600 section "easiest" on because it's just a straight up stream with no crossovers or any awkward steps [those breaks are very annoying to step]. The ending to MAXX300 SMMM is harder than Max. [period] .

I strongly disagree. While Maxx Unlimited has sections of extreme ease, it is not easier to pass. The death run destroys new players on Extreme rules whereas Max 300 did not.

I'm a 20 year old.

I'm curious to see what songs this game will have in the future. We can't predict things from the past very easily because if this is supposed to be the last game in the series, it's probably going to have tons of revivals from previous versions. Tons. At least, I think so. Because there are going to be a bunch of people that, if they don't revive it, say "OMG NO MAX PERIOD WTF KONAMI" and "WHAT ABOUT BEFORU AND ALL THE JAPANESE CRAP LEFT BEHIND" even though so many of the new songs are Japanese and everyone will think Caramelldansen is, too.

I can't imagine how it will work out, though, because it'd cost a shitton to license, plus if it's all online, it'd probably cost even more.

But who knows for sure, right?

I don't think we'll get anything new until the next update. This is what worries me about having new songs every 3 months. They will bring out the new songs from the gun then we'll have 2 and a half month of no news.

Do we know how many songs they crank out at once? For all we know, it'd be like 70+ songs, so more than most US releases, keeping us pretty much occupied for several months before we start to get bored with the ones we already have (and tbh I'm still playing DDRMAX US, which came out almost eleven years ago, so it'd be pretty hard to make some people particularly bored, anyway).

If they add many songs, it probably won't be particularly bad. And let's look at DDR S+. I'm pretty sure they added like 3-5 songs every week. Multiply that by 13 and you get every three months. 3*13 = 39, and 5*13=65. So you'd likely get somewhere between 39 and 65 songs every update if they follow the same trend they did with S+. And given the fact that this is a large arcade release rather than just an iOS game, it'd probably be supported a lot more by updates, especially considering this is supposed to be the last game in the series.

I hope this didn't make me sound totally stupid or anything. But just a thought.

And when they say NEW boss songs, do they mean entirely new or can boss revivals still be allowed? Maybe Max (period) fans won't bitch. o.o (not that there's anything wrong with liking it, of course)

They haven't really said anything. The photo Makou posted is an arcade advertising a release schedule to their customers. We're assuming that the information on the board is actually what Konami told the arcades who signed up for the game, and they're just passing it on.

The same arcade also advertised Uma Uma Song being in the game, and they were spot-on about that, soooo...

The site implies there'll be another Royz video/update/something on the 19th. :D...

I feel like we're locked on that "event" until part 3 happens on 4/26. Seems weird they'd switch gears while in the middle of this promotion-or-other. Although the Bemani Gakuen thing starts on the 24th, so... hype?

Assuming that whatever the "EES" is suppose to be is even on the machine right now. Monkey business is harder than normal because you can't practice it whenever you want, it forces you to play on batteries, and doesn't always unlock all the charts. But it's not really boss material, it's just an extra stage. Maybe the first "boss songs" for this mix will be available when that chart indicates.
