Well all we really can do is hope for this since we can't truly predict what/if any other songs from those series will appear in this installment. And while I won't be surprised if this doesn't happen (since this song was a commission), I think it would be great to add Lament Configuration (UNIVERSE3) to the AC series.

In response to the 20-footer comments, I'd like to bring this up:

We got our first 15, Max 300, in DDRMAX. However, we did not know it was officially a 15/10 until MAX2 brought back the foot ratings.
We got our first 16, Maxx Unlimited, in MAX2. However, we did not know it was officially a 16/flashing 10 until Extreme.
We got our first 17, Fascination Maxx, in SN1. However, we did not know it was officially a 17 until DDR X.
We got our first 18s, Faxx/Felm/HDV, in SN1. However, we did not know they were officially 18s until DDR X.
We got our first 19, Possession D-, in X2's location test. However, we did not know it was officially a 19 until X3's location test.

Therefore, I predict that our first 20 will appear before we know it is officially a 20.

Maxx Unlimited is a 16? When did this happen?

And tbh, I'm pretty sure we knew our first 19 was VD , not Possession D. Plus, the other ones were created before DDR X came out, so that's why we didn't know of those ratings until X existed. Even so, the trend is different now because of the new scale in general.

And besides, the rating scale is up to 20 so that obviously means that a possibility for a 20 Footer appearing is...possible, whether the players like it or not.

First off, Max 300 is harder than Maxx Unlimited, so I have no idea where you got the idea that Unlimited is a 16.
Second, we'll know if something is a 20 because when it comes out it'll be rated a 20 on the x-scale. If we're fortunate, that never happens

MaxX Unlimited is a 16 in S- since X3 vs 2nd Mix

I think it makes sense that KONAMI will try to muster out the hardest chart they can think of to keep players busy for awhile and keep it alive. But, all of this is just a matter of opinion, and that's just my thought on it.

I don't think MAXX Unlimited should be a 16, but there have always been ratings people disagree with and there always will be.

I think Konami just based the change on all the videos Dr. D made trying to PFC it.

Maxx Unlimited is not a 16 in any way, hell, it's less stamina draining than Max 300 and easier to pass. Even people who struggle with jumps are more likely to pass it first before 300. /done

Another thing I've been wondering is if any of the Dance Wars exclusives will make their way onto this installment. I don't see why not.

I seriously beg to differ. Max 300 is straight forward: a bunch of streams. That's all Max 300 is. MaxX Unlimited employs: streams, gallops, lots of freezes, lots of jumps, lots streams that end in jumps. MaxX Unlimited a 16? Meh, but MaxX Unlimited easier than 300? That's a matter of of the player and their play style. Since lots of people waffle on Max 300 vs MaxX U being harder, I'd put them both at a 15 and call it a day.


Max 2 had ratings, so it was a 10 back then. The only flashing 10s have been Legend of Max and PSM-Challenge, Unlimited was never a flashing 10.

Other than the chart, you will see DP player like Takaske struggling to pass, or getting an A grade.
And you will see SP players like Ringo, Brosoni, P.MIZHA4, etc struggling to get an A grade.

POSSESSION D- is level 18 on location test iirc. And there's no revealed yet.

And i feel that MAX300 is so much easier than Maxx Unlimited.

There's always been a POSSESSION D. It was rated as an 18 in X2, but rerated to a 19 in X3. By all the logic before (FaxX being the first 17 before being rerated for example) then POSSESSION D is our first 19 seeing how it was accessible before VD S.

Max 300: Lotsa lotsa streams at a crisp 300 bpm. Very tiring.
Maxx Unlimited: Streams are shorter in comparison to Max 300 to give lots of variety which includes gallops, fast jumps, slowdowns and the like. May be less tiring.

I used to think Maxx Unlimited is easier but after replaying Max 300 over and over again, I had to change my mind. And yeah, it's not a flashing 10 in Extreme.

As far as getting a 20 is concerned, I guess it can't hurt to have one for completion's sake but then I don't think Konami can avoid making a crappy chart out of it...

And when was Maxx Unlimited a 16? Was it re-rated in X3 or 2013? It's still a 15 in X2 (Just checked out Dr.D's Maxx Unlimited vid)

This might be the utmost foolish thought. The only way they might get at 20 footer is if Max.(PERIOD) gets revived and finally gets put unto an AC game.

Come on why are we still debating ratings. Also I can't believe there are still people still hoping for a 20 while they frown looking at PARANOiA Revolution . But, adding on that, I think MAXX Unlimited is harder than MAX 300, I have yet to PFC that and I believe it'll take a long time.

By the way if MAX. (period) gets rated on the X-scale I believe it'd be a 16 tops. It's is easier than the too.

On a more related topic, DDR (alongside other BEMANI games) received patches, which I think are BEMANI Gakuen patches.

As far as just passing it, I put Maxx Unlimited at the same level as Legend of MAX. However Maxx Unlimited has to be one of the hardest songs to FC.

MAX. (period) would likely be a 17 (maybe low 18 because of that ending ) on and 16 on .
