It hasn't been confirmed if its for 2009, but DM Ashura on my new IIDXfreak IRC channel, brought up this
When I asked if it was for 2009, he went off pretty much into "just wait and see" mode.
Quote
DMAshura: Have you heard I am Machine?
SuzumiyaHaruka: you stupid hackjob
SuzumiyaHaruka: a machine?
DMAshura: It's my new song for DDR

DM Ashura tells me he didn't say that. I've had the song for months and he never said anything about not spreading it. I've even considered cutting and stepping it for Kita Khyber's Flightmix 4, which he didn't object to.

I have a feeling that was Setzer/Aubrey or one of his friends posing as me. I didn't show a lot of people "I Am Machine", though I don't consider its existence a secret by any means. Aubrey's one of the few people I ended up showing it to.

In future, you shouldn't really show stuff to anyone to prevent things like this from happening.

As I said, "I Am Machine"s existence isn't a secret. I played it live at Animation & Gaming Ohio and Anime St. Louis. It's just that SINCE I've shown it to so few people, it was interesting that, out of any other possible songs, that song was the one chosen for the rumor.

To those wanting to try the Wii DDR's, Hottest Party 1 & 2 are great games and HP2 is simply awesome IMHO. Hand Markers really have brought new fresh gameplay in HP2 (nearly throwaway in HP1) and Konami doesn't get enough kudos for the work they did with it. Whilst others may turn it off without even sticking with it, I on the other hand stuck with the HM system and found it to be extremely rewarding, especially seeing how much more fun some charts become, it truly is a great feeling not to mention something that must be experienced after *time*. This is why I'm so looking forward to the next DDR with Multidirectional Hand Markers. I'm sure the charts will reflect HM's even more this time around and I'm sure it'll give weigh to some great charts (and will certainly enhance charts that may, at first glance, seem a tad light).

So, what is up with multi-directional handmarkers anyways? With HP1 and HP2, did you simply move the nunchucks in any direction when the markers came up? And with multi-directional, you have to specifically move the nunchucks in that direction?

Agreed, the Hand Markers are a lot of fun. They can be tough, but it's all a part of being a fun challenge.

Sorry folks, I think that Scramble AAA with hands video I've done coupled with several other AAAs have gotten Konami thinking that the HMs weren't tough enough as they are. Beforehand, all you have to do was just shake when it hit the step zone. Granted I started the HP series off feet only since HP1's hand markers weren't worth a damn making me incredibly skeptical of HP2's going in. However, I decided to give it another chance, and the improvement from the first game is astronomical. They actually work the way they're supposed to. The charts actually felt like they were made with them in mind (which is probably where a lot of "problems" seem to be coming from with some of the charts) It just clicked, and now I'll only turn them off on maybe two or three songs. Plus with HP2, beyond getting AAAs it was also fun to see just how high you can score on a single song. IF it's handled right, I can see some really interesting charts and movements coming out of multi-directional hand markers. I look forward to it. It'll be a new challenge.
The only side effect so far is that it's made playing Loving You (Epidemik Remix) in DDRX AC no fun. Hand markers led you into certain sections of that song properly, and without them you have to do some weird stepping in spots.

Yeah, I know a lot of HP2's pattern problems had to do with the hand motions. When they're turned off, suddenly you've got a lot of weird turns and things that weren't there before. They really should make a separate set of charts for non-hand motions.

For the Fatboy Slim song, I think it'll be Praise You, as it's his most known song (atleast in North America...) I remember hearing it as a kid.

EU had 7 for Heavy. I think the SN2 one was 8 for Heavy, which suits it more.
