This. It was a solid KAC finals from start to finish. Fefemz legit won that championship. Congrats to everyone who made it, all of them put on a damn good show.

That was an exhibition match.

There was nothing Chris could've realistically done to beat FEFEMZ. Compare his EX deficit on DEGRS (-52) to Chris's WR (-35). Getting a score only 17 points worse than his best isn't something he's capable of doing in a tournament setting. He needed either a win on DEGRS or FEFEMZ's choke on OTP, neither of which happened because FEFEMZ prepared himself all too well.
If anything, I'm surprised how much Jeff himself choked. Beating Chris on DEGRS was a good sign, but then he lost to both Chris and FEFEMZ on his own song, all three being only one EX apart. I have no idea why he chose Saber Wing of all 17s, it's one of those FEFEMZ is actually pretty decent at.

I'm curious what Konami is going to do to the ruleset in next KAC. They obviously can't keep the current format due to the defending champion FEFEMZ retiring. Best case scenario is them removing DDR from KAC merging all non-Japanese regions together into one leaderboard, with two or three winning slots to go to semis or finals. Or just a single global leaderboard, with an extra rule that over 50% KAC participants must be Japanese.
They could also (unlikely) consider using a variation of card draw + veto system used in US DDR tournaments to give participants a more equal footing (no more player bias) while still keeping the song count low in order to keep the tournament within a ~90 minute range.

If something, Chris lost it at DEGRS. He should have won that one and he threw it away. FEFEMZ read that, prepared and did great. Nice way of saying goodbye for 2 years from Konami sanctioned tournaments.

Tomorrow is Extra Exclusive though.
