(Internet problems) Uploading this simfile was only hard the first time.
Well, this is weird. I've submitted a mostly light and easy (I've never done a expert level 6 chart before) simfile. While it fits the song, I hope this does well in a place that's seemingly hopped up on harder charts. (I think I'll do those in later rounds) Graphics are the official Technika ones.
(This is a left-over from Simfile Shuffle, so shout-outs to the person who submitted the skeleton for this.)

So I'm still not in the category, but as I put in in the chat, I was feeling "the simfile-releasing equivalent of sexually frustrated". Thankfully chewi is my mom and offered to upload my file for me while I wait to be added, so shouts-out!! :^))
All that being said, I love this song to bits (but not so much after listening to it for 7.5 hours stepping this) and I was actually disappointed that I had to cut out certain parts of the song for time retraints, especially LIZ's only verse where she's not signing "C-A-N-D-Y / CANDY CANDY CANDY LAND / COME TO COME TO CANDY LAND!" So if you like this cut I suggest giving the whole thing a listen because it's amazing.
I think that's all I have to say for now. Good luck to everyone participating!

So… if everyone qualifies and there are, say, 36 files, does that mean the top 28 directly move on to Round 2?

TOI 4 had 36 people in it and seeds 1-4 got byes into the 2nd round. Don't panic people, once voting is done, I'll show the brackets. Having more than 32 would just mean the highest seeds would get a bye for the first round. If you upload a file for this week, you will make the next round regardless.

What's the point of voting, then? If everyone gets in the next round automatically... unless I'm wrong? It's confusing and seems a little flawed.

I'm not entirely sure that works out. Last year (TOI 5), only 28 people entered and the top 4 seeds didn't have to submit anything for ROUND 1 (they didn't have any opponent to face, this gained an automatic admission to ROUND 2). But at this point, we have EXTRA submissions (I.e. more than an even 32). Unless you want to hold 6 ROUNDs with virtually everyone getting byes (only the 4 lowest seeds wouldn't get one).I hope this solves any confusion.
I think there's going to have to be eliminations going into ROUND 1, unless you find some other tournament format in which more than two participants matchup with each other.

Just in case, how about a lightning round qualifier where the bottom seed files are voted on a second time in one day?
