Voting for your own submitted music was never an issue in the past, I don't see why it would be now. Just be honest and vote for it if you really like the steps, not just so it can place in the top 3 and you get bonus points out of it. Tongue

And I just reuploaded groovin', so hopefully the download will work now.

So many vetoes in Round A. Isn't the purpose of the shuffle to encourage people to step (pun intended) outside their comfort zone?

What happens to a vetoed song? Does it go in the backup pile, or is it gone from the contest?

Stepping outside of your comfort zone is part of the fun in the contest, but sometimes you just absolutely can't stand a song and don't want to step it at all.

Vetoed songs completely disappear from the contest. The only exception is when the stepper has already stepped the song before, in which case the stepper gets a new song for free and the old song gets sent to the backup pile. It's rare but it's happened before.

I veto'd because my song was 143 measures long, and I got worried I'd get tired of stepping before finishing all 4 charts.

Sometimes, I just don't like the song enough to finish it. (Cases in point, three out of four songs in ZSS2014 that I didn't like before I gave up on the contest entirely)

I'm completely fine with people vetoing songs, they're there for a reason after all. What is more annoying is when people don't finish their charts at all, for whatever reason. It feels a bit like swapping presents for christmas and one party going "cba, sorry"
