It's WAY too early to make any assumptions about anything. This was only rolled out 2 hours ago. What konami has in store is unknown as of now. Most likely there will be an announcement today or over the next few weeks. Stop making assumptions about konami not giving a shit and actually WAIT for a bit to see what they do.Post #145 · Posted at 2015-03-18 11:56:51pm 9.2 years ago

Well, he does have a point.
On one hand, eAmuse support doesn't mean much of anything in regards to getting new(er) releases of Bemani games in the USA or elsewhere, other than those already at Round1.
On the other hand, my God I just want to believe.

Until Konami announces something for arcade operators outside of Japan/Asia; not interested.

Albeit if you were at konami would you allow users to sign up globally only to do nothing with it? No, you wouldn't, you'd end up wasting your time. Have a little faith in konami. The hour is still early in japan and it's only been 2 hours since this rolled out, konami probably has more up their metaphorical sleeves.

That's all we can do at this point, could be the beginning of great things on the horizon...at the very least, it's a better position than where we were a couple days ago.

Awesome news! Has anyone with access to a previously running PW cab having any luck connecting to eAMUSE now?

Just to be crystal clear about what's new.
This is purely for users signing up for the eAMUSE site. There is still no eAMUSE service offered to arcade operators.

There's a lot of hype here over pretty much nothing. A translated site does not mean much on its own unless it has the service and software/hardware distribution to go with it (which it does not).

I think people got over hyped to try to find some closure with PW going down. We've been sitting here for what? 8 years now waiting on a US eAmuse? I think it's safe to say it's not going to happen.

I don't get it; why would Komani go through all the effort to make this "big" announcement, two weeks in advance, only to just offer a translated registration screen, and not even bother to translate the necessities from Japanese? Something about this just doesn't add up. >>
Not saying this instantly means, "Oh, we're gonna get fully-featured Bemani games in 'Murica", not even in the slightest, but I feel as if they are just breaking ground on some big "project" they are not telling us about, and are gonna work on the other details in the coming weeks/months. One can only hope, right?

Was it a big announcement? It was just a link on the sidebar if I recall correctly...

I wouldn't really say it was "big" (hence why I had it in quotations), but everyone, including myself, got caught up in it. ^^;
I didn't think it meant we were gonna suddenly see localized/translated versions of their games (not in the slightest), but, I thought that we were at least gonna get an English version of the Japanese eAmusement webpages for the people that have access to Round1.
I'm thinking this is something that's going to be built upon, slowly, over time. It's way too early to get excited/depressed about this; after all, this just started, and I'm sure there will be updates on this.

But why would they just suddenly open up a global eAmuse site? I don't see any reason for them to do that.

in a sense, yes
