Well, here's my take on the songs and their steps since I just unlocked all 72 songs. Sad

volcano - awesome steps

Can't Stop The Rain - pretty decent for an 8

And Then We Kiss - as much as I hate Britney, this is actually a good song - decent steps

Say Goodbye - as much as it pleases the teeny-boppers, I hate this song, the steps are horrible, too

Temperature - I could never forgive Konami for putting not one, but TWO Sean Paul songs. This wasn't any different - steps null

Love On My Mind & Fevah - nice songs for the clubs - very good steps

And now for the unlocks & boss songs:
NGO - the heavy steps... I will never be able to Oni them... very good steps, the tempo changes piss me off though

PARANOiA ~HADES~ - The Oni steps aren't as bad as people make it out to be. It's a lot like PSMO, only it's got a longer stream at the end and the random jumps. Argh.

Vem brincar - Very nice song and very good steps. I really like the triplets that go with the disc scratches, and the freeze arrows are well-placed

Electrified - nice song, but the steps could be a bit better... not enough stream

Freeway Shuffle - another one bites dj TAKA trance, and it's great! the steps are confusing on a few parts since they force you to spin, pretty good though

Unreal - I wish the steps to this song WAS unreal. The random jumps are really annoying, and I can't get OMES because of them!

Overall, I'm still disappointed. Konami wasted at least a gig of disc space. Then again, load times. :x I give this game a 6.5/10
So in my brief return, I am going to slowly but surely work on a new simfile mix called TEMPEST. Still workin' on it. Preview -->

Arrabiatta is the new contender for hardest 9. The charts look good (better than most of Supernova).

Now, for the unlocks (that've played so far.):

Freeway Shuffle: The legendary dj TAKA does it again! A fun song to play with.

Unreal: Even though this is the first time DDR put a rock song as one of the boss songs, it's still good, but the steps? Too much jumps where people kinda least expects it.

NGO: Here I thought the Expert steps would have a bit of Oni to them at the end, I was right. Nonetheless, Expert is somewhat easier and follows along to the guitar.

Arrabbiata: I haven't seen Light steps like this since La Senorita Virtual! Fun, catchy and speedy!

Fire: I'm finally glad this song is now in the DDR world. I've been waiting for this to happen.

Raspberry <3 Heart: Very bouncy and cute! I liked the video of this one. Also great steps.

Baby's Tears (Sky Girls Opening Theme) and Under The Sky: THANK YOU KONAMI FOR PUTTING THESE! THESE TWO ARE MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITES IN SN2 JP!

Fascination ~eternal love mix~: Wow. Going for another round, eh?

And Then We Kiss: bleh. Why bother put Britney Spears, I mean seriously!

Take On Me: You're joking. From the Euro SN, THIS?!?!?! Whatever! They should've put All The Things She Said!

Don't hate pop music for being pop music.

And the Difficult chart would compete for hardest 8, but Mondo Street still has that honor, IMO.

Something tells me he's wondering if messing around with them would unlock anything.

I might check that out somewhere along the line here, as I'm getting mad at trying to clear the Arrabbiata mission. How the heck is that not only an 8, but a Difficult chart? Eep.

Hurr... I guess this will take a long while before I actualy can unlock Yuni. My skills aren't good for passing the Level H boss.

Anyway...

Anyone here liked Raspberry Heart? O_O; I know. Cheezy, bright, pink, etc. But I found the steps fun for my current level. XP

Also the vid in Stars is orignaly from Beatmania IIDX, for those who are curious. Big Grin

P.S. Purchased Rainbow Flyer. Fave since first discovering IIDX and watched the sameple of that song and vid. Big Grin

Actually, you'll unlock Yuni by simply playing Game mode a lot, along with the other songs/courses you've yet to unlock.

Unlocks of anything other than songs go from number of mission attempts, not number you clear.

Ah. Well, I guess that will make my DDR life easier now. XD ('Cause like now got stuck at H, and even though I did a effort, I still didn't get my goal. That is the hardest Steller/Dancer Mode that I ever played.)

P.S. Just something random. Played Arrabbiata on all levels except for Beginer. Very hard yet unique steps.... For one of the secret songs in Pop'n Music 10. (Again, me rambling about anything Pop'n Music. Also purchased DanDanDo. "DAN DAN DO! DAN DAN DO!" XD)

The things that has really disappoint me is that all the boss songs on heavy are 9 when they’re 10 footer worthy. That and it’s starting turning into “if it’s not BS, it’s not a 10 footer.”Evil

Something that has been bothering me a lot lately is all the complaining people are doing about SN2 CS and how "it's not like the arcade version".

Please enlighten me on this fact.

Yes, we didn't get hardly any of the AC licenses, but since when have we really ever? We get a few every mix and that's about it. Instead, Konami actually went out of their way to get us a really good mix of licensed tracks for this game. No complaints there, in my book.

As for the Konami Originals...

We didn't get eight of the KOs from the AC game that were on the default list. Only eight. Out of the 29 KOs on SuperNOVA2's default songlist, we got 21 of them. So how exactly is this game more like SN1.5 than SN2?

On top of that, we got a total of what...2 repeated songs that had been on a US PS2 release before?

Sure, there was a lot of SN1 content on there, but that's because we all complained so much that it wasn't on SN1 CS. So Konami put it on SN2 to appease us. Don't complain. You know if Flowers, Honey Punch and Konoko weren't on there, you'd be mad because Konami didn't put them there.

The only reason people are bitching about the whole SN1.5 thing is because we saw songs on the Jersey Gardens machine we were not supposed to find out about yet. Those songs were unlocks for the arcade game. SN2 was delayed until sometime next year in the US, so why would they put the Planet songs onto SN2?

We got lucky that we got Arrabbiata and the Stars remix (not to mention FIRE). I just think Konami didn't have the ability or the time to rush and shove all the planet songs onto the PS2 before it went to be gold mastered. And perhaps they didn't want to. Perhaps they wanted to wait until next year's release so that we could get the songs after the arcade game had come out. Who knows.

And sure, I bet all the crap we didn't see on the US version of SN2 will be on SN2 JP. If that's the case, just import the game and play them on the Japanese version. It's not going to hurt you that much to wait. And if I recall correctly, they've only unlocked one of the planet songs in Japan so far anyways (the L'amour et la Liberte remix).

I just think that people are freaking out too much over content we only found out because of a glitch in the AC hardware in one machine.
