To clarify: we're not allowed to just restep songs that have actually appeared in DDR, right?

So do Bemani Crossovers and other licenced songs count, just as long as the artist has been featured in DDR? If so, ooh boy, I have a lot of ideas for this!

Somehow, excluding Bemani crossovers (which I'm trying to avoid, as I know others probably won't), I don't have a single simfile in progress I can use for this; the only one that fits is Splendid Drive by Tatsh, but it's 6 seconds too long.

Thankfully, X2 widened out the choices quite a bit with some of the licenses and commissioned artists, and so I know what song I'll likely make a simfile for.

Yup!

The idea is that most of these themes will give you a lot of options to step whatever you want, as long as it fits within the theme.

I like the idea, but personally, this should be limited to licenses. I'm afraid this round could get over 200+ entries with all the people entering crossovers.

The Bemani Crossovers week had 19 entries last time, so it won't be that ridiculous. Some Bemani crossovers can't be used in this theme, and some people will likely choose to submit something that isn't a Bemani crossover, so I don't think there will be too many of them.

Unlikely. The 2010 contest had only a little over 200 entries for all the weeks combined.

I think it should be limited to one song per person so we don't get bored playing a trillion files per round, and people don't submit a trillion files.

That said, I'd like a banner and background for "L'erisia (Primary Logic)" by Zektbach please :3

Kinda agree with TaroNuke. But I think the limit should be 2 songs per person.

Wasn't there 3 in SC2010? Because 3's a good number.

I would also agree with a one limit, but I think there are way too many people who want to submit multiple files, so I'd be okay with two.

I wanna make 10 files :\

I think the limit should be 2-3 per week. 10 seems insane, unless you already have the files made.

Are files that I submitted to last year's contest allowed, in a different category?
Are songs that someone submitted last year allowed?
Are files from the tournament/ winter contest allowed?
