I think the theme is awesome so far, but the only thing your missing is the ripples on the background and the timer.

So do the album covers have to be edited in the SM file or is it automatic?

You have to create new images, hence the big link in my sig. (You can't "edit" any banner image through the SM file..)

Alternatively, you could modify your theme to use cropped backgrounds, but for various reasons that's not a good idea.

Really? What would those be? height = SCREEN_HEIGHT and the left and right ends would get cut off properly be it a standard def or widescreen background image, right? If you wanted to make backgrounds to account for this you would just centre anything important and make sure it didn't bleed over the cut off edge.

Ah, that's right. StepMania caches banners to prevent this problem... time to teach it to cache backgrounds too. It can make a lower resolution sample of the image for the coverflow...wheel...thing.

Yes they are. Oddly enough, a lot of the graphics in some areas were just recolored from X or SN2, but most are re-created.

In addition, I believe most of the sounds are reused from X, besides the music of course (I am STILL begging for lineouts of the menu music)

It looks incomplete without actual DDR arrows. They can probably be ripped from HP3/X2CS (HP3 has solo arrows).
