Oh wait, we did on the PS3 version. So this cements the fact that it's very likely going to be a port. Hmm.
Personally, I'm not quite surprised about this. The Hottest Party series usually has more focus on licenses. Though this makes me worried of the quality of the game after seeing DDR on the PS3

The game just got rated by the ESRB. Still labelled as just "DanceDanceRevolution" so I'm leaning to believe that this will be updated again. Interestingly, the rating is NOT E10+. Hmmmm...
"This is a dancing simulation game in which players perform dance steps and hand moves in-time with arrow indicators that scroll from the bottom to the top of the screen. Player score points by hitting the corresponding panel/arrow on the dance pad to the beat of the music. One song contains the word "damn" (e.g., "Open up your plans and damn you're free")."
The song referenced there is for I'm Yours. I'm surprised that's all there is to say about the lyrics... I expected at least one other song with a word in there that they'd point out. Again, that may suggest there's still work to be done.

So far, not a full one. For sure, Konami confirmed in the recent fact sheet that the following would be in:
“Need You Now” by Lady Antebellum
“crushcrushcrush” by Paramore
“I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz
As for others, nothing's been stated. However, as was mentioned before, some are leaning towards the possibility of DDR Wii and DDR PS3 sharing song lists (at least some) like what was done with DDRHP3 and DDRX2.
Further, a recent press release said the game would feature over "30 tracks of hit music" which leads me to believe this is in reference to the licenses alone. So that sounds promising.
Also, I just found some brief footage of the Wii DDR in action (it's about time!). Even if it's very brief, it already has me excited.

Is that all it takes to make the game rated 10+? Damn.

I noticed there's no mention of Suggestive Themes, and yet that's something that appeared through all the HP games...
Also, just adding to the songlist question, I found this video, which does in fact confirm the songs mentioned in pie's first post:

That statement's got me worried. I remember DDR X2's box art saying it had 60 "smash hits", even though 45 of those were Konami Originals. This might (hopefully not) have the fewest songs ever...

Actually, to be honest, that worried me too when I read it. It seems like they're playing it safe. But this may just be a sign, again, that there's still much work to be done with the game song-wise. If it has anything below 50, I'll be extremely disappointed in Konami, even with the new improvements. Especially since DLC is likely not coming (which STILL upsets me that they still can't seem to implement it).
Anyway, Nov. 2nd is still a bit far off. A lot can be changed/added from now until close to the end of October before it goes gold.
http://www.amazon.com/Dance-Revolution-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B003TJYOTW/ref=sr_1_29?s=STORE&ie=UTF8&qid=1284303910&sr=1-29
Also, just a comment I'd like to make about the PR again...
"Completing the traditional style Wii gameplay, DanceDanceRevolution will also bring back the use of the Wii Balance BoardTM, taking the dance party to the next level with both beginner and expert dancers"
This had better mean we're getting Expert charts this time. If they enhance on what they did in HP3 where the implementation was top-notch on many songs, then I'll be really pleased.

Box art.
Once again, Konami is showing their marketing genius by apparently releasing this game as bundle only...AGAIN. Apparently they feel that the increased profit margin from bundle sales will offset the potential sales they're losing from customers who don't want to pay for another dance pad. No matter the fact that when Hottest Party and Hottest Party 2 were released as software only last year sales of the games went up dramatically. The software only titles easily lifted HP1 past the million mark and now sits comfortably at over 1.4 million copies sold and HP2 is nearing the million mark itself at 880,000 copies. Meanwhile, Hottest Party 3 sits at only 200,000 copies at least partly because Konami had already released three DDR Wii games that came as bundle only (Disney Grooves even came with two pads!), so why would people want to pay an extra $20-30 to get another dance pad they didn't need? The only thing helping them here is that they are selling the bundle for $49.99, which is the around the price of a new Wii game. Still, there's no reason they couldn't sell it as standalone for $39.99.
Also not helping them is that they are simply labeling the game "DanceDanceRevolution". Yup, the new entry in a game that has had dozens of console releasing in America under numerous names is just going to be named "DanceDanceRevolution". That won't cause any confusion I'm sure, especially since you're going to have a PS3 version by the same name!
Seriously, who does Konami get to market these products? I remember them actually showing a TV commercial for X2 and HP3 last year (I actually saw it because my ears perked up when I heard A Brighter Day coming out of my hotel TV) that just showed a bunch of people dancing then showed the DDR logo at the end with tiny pictures of the X2 and HP3 bundles. That new PS3 DDR trailer they released last month? A minute long trailer with literally SEVEN SECONDS of gameplay shown. This is not how you market products, people. The only thing they really have done right as far as marketing was the DDR launch party, but I even have my gripes with that (mostly the short amount of time between the announcement of the event and the actual event).

If they saturate the market with their pads few will buy the third party ones. If only they'd sell their soft pad by itself. I thought they were going to but I've never ever seen one in real life.

Seriously, the people in control of North American DDR need to have their hands slapped away from the controls. It's not even out and I already find the handling of this 'series reboot' embarrassing. Calling the game DanceDanceRevolution when we have other games on the same platform is not helpful to anyone, new players and veterans alike. I don't want more pads, and by the time the game only comes out, I won't care anymore.
Whoever it is at KONAMI that reads these forums needs to get in touch with whoever actually makes North American DDR games, because they surely aren't the same.

This is true for me. I have a 360 pad, 4 Xbox, 4 Wii and too many PS2 ones to count.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're going crazy with the whole "DDR Get's you FIT!" Mentality after the First Lady is pushing it and everything. I mean look at the alternative box art for the Hottest Party 3 bundle, it has women in work out attire. First problem with that is that is says "DDR IS FOR FAT CHICKS!" No, really! The "exergaming" cover is saying, "If you play this you will be come a thin, fit, middle-aged woman." That just isn't cool at all. It would've been nice if there were guys on it so it doesn't seem like it's aimed towards women. If you look at the design it's pretty feminine. Yes, it may look neutral in design but it feels as it's marketed towards women now :/
