I think the ラクエン video paints a very good picture of the HAPPY SKY theme. It's the only video to use the slogan JUST GOT SPLASH BEATS, has blue skies, and has palm trees too.

Anyway, I'm not sure if i'm late to the party, but hasn't the song wheel ALWAYS have a DDR-esque style song selection in the past? Sure, NOW it DOES have a "circular" selection that resembles the DDR song wheel selection since 5thMix, but if i remember correctly, in the past IIDX games it was just straight-lined, up-and-down song wheel.

But whatever, and i say this isn't a TRUE sequel to Happy Sky, but the theme and backgrounds give it that Happy Sky feel only it's more darker/dusk.

I'd say this theme is as much a sequel to Happy Sky as Sirius is a sequel to 10th style, though maybe in a slightly different way.
Now if we get another chart comparable to Mei then that's a different story. The only chart really comparable in the way I'm thinking is parts of Mendes [b], in how there's a lot of seemingly random jackhammers and it's hard to tell what's going on in the chart, along with the lack of an easy transition and its overall seeming impossibility.

I quite like the idea of thinking of this as a "sequel" or follow up theme to Happy Sky. Regardless, it does look pretty. And I think the rounded song wheel looks pretty nice.
and speaking of Just Got Splash Beats, did anyone else notice that one of the transition screens seem to say "You're the DJ of this gig" or something? I think someone is obscuring the view for the last half of the sentence so you only read "You're the DJ of this...", but yeah. maybe it says holiday. Throw back to IIDX13?
