DDR X2 (AC) (International)

Oh God, yes. We need something now that has the same effect as MAX 300 did when it first came out. It doesn't even need to be the hardest song yet, it just needs to be awesome. Even if it was a 15, if it kicked ass, I'd be happy.

So basically what I'm saying is get Sota to do a new song based off Paranoia Respect, yes.

I will take the responsibility and say I agree on this too. I always thought the boss songs were incredibly good during the Max-Extreme era, but nowadays it has gone downhill a little. TBH, I don't really like Kimono Princess at all.

So basically I would like a 300 bpm-ish boss song that is a 15 on Expert and maybe a 17 on Oni.

I talked to the director of DDR X in July about crossing over universe songs into the arcade. I even pin pointed songs like doki doki.

When I asked for a response if they had any plan putting songs like that in, he said "top secret."

In general you guys seem to have the same ideas as me.

This is shaping up to be sweet.

Is that song select supposed to be for the AC? My only concern is that, as of the last trailer we saw for the XBox360 interface, it used the old ratings, which I feel is a real step backwards. The old rating system really cannot adequately express the difficulty of songs anymore, especially in the 9-10 range, and the ratings on HP3 are somewhat off.

Hmm...I'm not really for this (Max stuff and all).
What i want to say is that a LOT of songs have huge potential to be an hard and good song.
Songs like AA (for exemple) could be awesome with an harder chart or Tracers (4Beat Remix) for something less old.

Maybe 25% of the song on DDR could have an harder chart without being ridiculous hard...

You can find lot of song on ITG official and custom with good chart + hard + good song.
For exemple, I guess if Fleadh Uncut camed out on DDR, we just got a 8 feet chart not the 10'.
And the oni-chart is good

EDIT : And i don't know what mod is sudden+. But it's still good to have more choice on mods. They can bring a lot more

I wouldn't mind if the 300 bpm song they would promise would be at 150 bpm.
As long as it suits...then by all means.

Fleadh Uncut was a good song.
Step chart was ok.

If something like Disconnected Delight would be on DDR, we would see a possible 8-9 (old scale) instead of a 12.

That shot up there suggests in might. I really hope not, X2 PS2s songwheel was pretty sweet, while the entire layout of the Universe one is ugly as sin.


I don't know, ITG has some charts that would easily be a 19 on the DDR X scale, but aren't half bad. The songs themselves tend to be nothing special, but I think it could be done with some effort.

Sudden+ is from IIDX, it's where you get to choose how much of the screen you want to be covered.

Also thank god this isn't just an arcade port of X2 NA. I don't care if it has Uni style banners, as long as this isn't the same thing we got last month. That screenshot actually looks pretty sweet, and not as bland as what we got in the PS3/360 trailer.

I thought roppongiEvolved nailed this pretty well. Kimono Princess, not so much, but it was another step in the right direction.

It's in a sense a more sterile version of the HP3 interface. Well, I guess it's pretty clear as to where DDR is going from here. I knew the logo change wasn't for nothing, otherwise they could've just kept the PS2 logo and left the interface alone. Get used to it folks.

And I'll call this one ahead of time, DDRX2 JP CS will use the PS2 interface. I just don't see them going out of their way to rebuild the interface for what will probably be the last PS2 release at this point.

Yeah, rE is very good, but musically it doesn't have the 'this will hurt you, BADLY' feeling as MAX 300 had.
