Because when i think about ddr league... :s

.

Hahaha yeah. Actually, they want the speedmods but the bar is not allowed even.

"Oh god what I have dooooone?!"
Fixed up my local extreme machine's pads last week, got my first AAA at the arcade on it. While it might only be "Let the Beat Hit 'Em" I still find it pretty cool Smile
Didn't take the camera though, since it was rather unexpected. I thought I'd flag it or something, but instead I did a small "wohoo" in the corner.

I was actually equally impressed with the fact that I had taken the pads from being unable to hold a combo or freeze without stomping to AAA'ing something.
I made a thread about it on Bemanistyle, here.
http://www.bemanistyle.com/forum/f6/shiny-newly-repaired-extreme-my-arcade-56480/

Oh and while it's not so much a DDR accomplishment, I passed FELM heavy no bar on the local ITG2 machine aswell. Felt pretty chuffed with that one too.

So, yeah. I have mentioned this a couple of times in the chatroom, but I have not yet mentioned it in this thread at all yet. So, without any further ado, I will now explain my future accomplishment that I will achieve.

A couple of days ago, I was in my local arcade playing DDR SuperNOVA. And that day, I made the greatest score that I could possibly ever achieve on a normal song. I got two greats on stoic (for EXTREME) Heavy. And let me tell you, those two greats happened at the very end of the song where after the stop, the steps are offbeat to the tune. It threw me off quite a bit, and I was pretty displeased about it. But, I managed to do all of this without a bar. Surprisingly, doing stoic with a bar kinda messes me up (you know, because of the jumps). I plan to go to the arcade in the future in the next week to try to AAA stoic once and for all. I can't do it this week because I am busy today, I have senior pictures on Thursday, and Friday, I am getting my wisdom teeth out, so I can't do much, scratch that, almost NO physical activity after that. What a bummer.

Anyways, that's pretty much it. Smile

Whenever I finish unlocking a DDR mix, I usually make a maximum length nonstop course with all my favorite songs on it. Well, today I thought, "I'm gonna play ALL of them".

DDRMax2 - Not many hard songs here, they're mostly for spinning around a lot and having fun with weird mods. Also played two songs beforehand. Cleared 22/22.

DDR Extreme - This one's harder, because to play a 20-song nonstop on Extreme it has to be an Oni course. I thought either my pad would screw me up or the fact that I put Absolute on Hidden would. But everything actually went smoothly until I was called away halfway through to do something. Cleared 10/20.

DDR Extreme 2 - This one was by far the hardest course... but all the hard songs happened after the halfway point, and after stage 10 I was called up for pizza and had to stop. Cleared 10/20.

DDRMax - DDRMax doesn't let you make custom Nonstops, but the popular "Hard Core" Oni comes in at 21 songs, so I went with that. The right arrow on my pad was starting to give me trouble, which is not good on a song like Era (Nostalmix). Somehow I full combo'd the end stream on that song, but oddly failed on an unassuming couple of slow left arrows in Electro-tuned. Cleared 12/21.

DDR SuperNOVA - Whoever made this game LOVES jumps. My nonstop on this one isn't very challenging, but it's an endurance nightmare. I've never actually passed it, and I made the thing. To increase my chances, I lowered the difficulty on Flow (True Style), then ironically pad-failed while playing its Trick chart. Cleared 8/20.

DDR SuperNOVA2 - At this point I switched to the Player 2 pad... I hadn't made a course in this game yet, so I quickly threw one together. The first half was stacked with bag, Crash!, and Eternus, so it was a course that got easier towards the end. Or so I thought. I had forgotten how bad I was at remembering the stops in Music in the Rhythm, stage 17, and had randomly decided to put Freeway Shuffle, stage 18, on Reverse Hidden. But I made it through and passed a course for the first time in several attempts. Cleared 20/20.

DDR Disney Channel Edition - Clunky interface. Questionable timing. Great Konami originals. Unfortunately, you can only put 9 songs in a course. Cleared 9/9.

DDR X - Nothing special here... the hardest part was finding the game, which was packed away in a different PS2. Cleared 20/20.

DDR X2 - So tired. LOVE easy licenses. Though I wish the game saved individual song scores during courses... somehow I managed to Full Perfect Combo Let's Get It Started in my zombie-like daze, and my timing on that song is typically pretty bad. Cleared 20/20.

At this point I guess I could've done courses in DDR and Konamix, but my legs were about to give out and there was more sweat in my shirt than in my body. Overall, Cleared 131/172. I feel pretty happy about that. Took about four hours including the food break. Now why don't I have the endurance to pass tens on a regular basis?

[/really long post]

@Hlavco: Nice. I haven't done a session that long since I first got hooked on the game (I was still on Light mode, and weighed over 200 lbs...Tongue)

YESSS!! At last...

Heavy Paranoia Survivor, FC (14 Greats, 124 Perfects, 371 Marvelous). Only bummer was that I lost the freeze at the end...balance was a little awkward on the last jump...

Paranoia Kcet AAA
Nice (yeah Euromix2).
My best on this is 1greats with 2 pad almost (a bit old). This song is so much frustrating for me.

A bit off topic but it seems you have acess to Euromix1 too (i saw in an other topic).
NonStops from Euromix1 are missing in the score tracker.

I played for the first time in a week today... nothing notable except these:

First clean SDG I've gotten on this song... I've gotten 7 on it before but I had a bunch of noncombos.

I wasn't even really trying on this one, but hey, an SDG is an SDG.

I'm gonna quote what i said on comment on my score tracker, which resume well my feeling about this :
"Playing this song one time a year is enough : 4 pads almost AGAIN"
Score was 4greats and 4almost (all pad).
For information, previous score was beetween 12 and 16greats (can't remember) but still with 4 pad almost (like you can see on the comment, this was done 1 year before).

It's really the russian roulette everytime i have a song with tap-tap-tap... I have to try that kind of thing on a DDX (EU) once.

"DDR-ing regularly again!~"
I finally got a AA on an arcade machine which is pretty sad, but those arcade scores are a lot stricter than the home game. I wish I got a picture of it too. The song was Senorita on Heavy.

That's actually a pretty difficult song to have as a first AA. Nice job. Big Grin

Thanks, I thought for sure I would get Love Shine Heavy, but I had too many greats plus the mats there are horrible.
