I wish they'd stick with a single difficulty rating system across all games. Ideally, the X system, since the 10 scale is clearly no longer adequate for expressing the relative difficulties of the harder fare. It's kind of jarring going back and forth between them, I just read "a five and two sevens" and thought how hideously easy, but then I remembered HP3 uses the 10 scale.

Holy hell! Who wants to take a stab at the Kamikaze Princess nonstop? Fuck that shit! *lol*

Sacred Oath
Pluto The First
roppongi Evolved
Kimono Princess
Hottest Party
Hottest Party 2

It makes the crazy nonstop on HP1 look entirely doable.

Oh, and I now have everything unlocked with the dance points maxed out.

"I'm honestly pissed off."
Now that sounds like a cool course name,
So, do the HP1/HP2 megamixes have full difficulties, or just Heavy charts?

I personally would rather stick with the 1-10 scale because all released DDR games bar the X series use it, and I know where I am with this scale.

I don't know what you're talking about... *lol*

Either way, I imagine I could get it up there sometime later on today.
I will say this much, for a 7 it's got it's tricky spots. No BG video, but the routine is gold. Especially the ending. They actually cared about the license routines this year!

Oh, and the HP1 and HP2 nonstop megamixes do have a full difficulty range on charts. And I did miss a song in the list on HP1, but I'll let you figure that one out yourself when (if Youtube cooperates) I upload them. They're gonna be fun to do on foot.

edit: In THEORY, the HP1 and HP2 videos should be going up SOON. Key word, SHOULD.

darknight, have you unlocked an Expert mode for Hypermove Mode (or anything else)? Please say yes....

That's all I'm asking. Don't spoil any other unlocks for me unnecessarily.

edit:
Wow! Heatstroke is pretty awesome! Big Grin Go Angie!

In case you guys want some footage, here's some vids I recorded yesterday. Smile

No Expert charts for Hyper Move Mode or Balance Board mode, and truth be told I'm OK with that. Some of the KOs are really tough even on Difficult.

That helps, thanks for saying that. At the same time, I'm a bit disappointed to hear that. I dunno what's worse... NOT having expert charts for Hand Markers (something I now LOVE because of HP2), having them innovated even further but not getting to use them to their fullest potential; or, the fact that the new peripheral-based mode didn't go all the way to provide Expert charts.

Who knows, maybe there are some hidden charts for advanced players. Doubt it but I guess I gotta try hoping...

To the person who asked for Credits, I encountered them today. I'll try recording them when I have time on Friday if they can be accessed on the Options or something.

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
Do you remember if the credits played a long version of one of the KOs? Like HP1 did with Mess With My Emotions and HP2 did with Into Your Heart.

It did. It was a long version of... can you guess?

A Brighter Day. It was longer than Into Your Heart's full mix. Or at least, that's what it seemed like.

Hah, I figured as much Tongue.

Graphically, this game looks incredible by the way. I like the way the announcer says the name of the song, and that thing that happens in roppongi EVOLVED is just wicked. (Not to mention how incredible that stage they were flying through looked!)

Yeah, the boss stage is SICK! And yeah, the game really is graphically impressive for the Wii and HP2 was already really good, IMO. Special effects are executed even better and look more impressive and the pictures for 50/100 combos are fantastic!

edit:
Was *really* surprised to see a music video for Bonafied Lovin'. Personally, I'd rather do without it...
On tha note, under options, MOVIE can be set to "On", "Off" or "Pictures". Haven't tried the Pictures setting yet but when you set it to off, instead of it reverting to a standard stage with backup dancers and whatnot, instead, it simply has arrows scrolling in front of a black background? Confused

Interesting. I wonder if pictures=BGs?

By the way, KnuxSonic, I'm not as familiar with the dance routines from HP2 as you and darknight are. Could you tell if any of the new dance routines used new movements not seen in previous games?

This one looks amazing interface-wise, I just wish it included the oni charts from X2 Sad.

It looks a bit clunky to me in some ways, but music select looks GREAT. dark, have they changed the way you select mods in this one?

I'll test out the Pictures thing and report back when I do.
I can't comment on the Dance routines too much yet as I haven't been able to play the game much unfortunately. Friday I'll be able to go crazy and try Expert and Difficult routines and of course peruse through Hypermove and BB Mode more in-depth.

The only part I partially agree with you on is the way certain things are divided. For instance, Hypermove Mode, Balance Board mode, Relaxed Mode and one other mode (forget which one) only have two difficulty settings. The former two could've easily had 4 or at least had Expert charts.

As for mods, could you be more specific? What *exactly* are you asking in comparison to how it was setup in HP2?

edit: Tried "Pictures" and it shows a Green moderately-stylized Background. Think of it kinda like something you'd expect from Training Mode or even Stepmania.

I meant from having to go into that menu, change the mods, save, then start the song, I change speeds a lot, so it is a huge pain in the ass
