I find Bibarels to be extremely retarded, annoying and pointless. But then again, everyone has their own opinions. I'd rather use Gastrodon as a Water type Pokemon because the only thing IT'S weak against are grass type pokemon. (even though it's ultra effective on it...)

Ever since I've played Silver Version on the GBC, I've always called Miltanks Moomoo. That was when I was 7, which was almost 8 years ago.

In terms of battling with you have a good point (although the Defence Curl + Rollout combo can be pretty effective), although it is arguably one of the best HM slaves ever being able to learn nearly all of them. Post #151 · Posted at 2009-05-17 03:44:10am 16.1 years ago

Because 10 year olds are given the choice to select one of three pokémon from the town's professor's lab. If you were an F student in school and your only chance of making some money and a name for yourself is by training and capturing rodents, then you can clearly see why we started so young.

Legal dog/cat/rat/snake/mewtwo fights are awesome!!!

another frustrating day..my chain 35 bonsly got broke because of a BIBAREL..grrr
tips on how to chain Shiny Pokemon
(credits go to Z33 from youtube)
First off, have you obtained the Pokeradar from Professor Rowan (after getting the Natioinal Dex) and the poketch #20 (Professor Oak in Pal Park) If you have, you can start to chain. There are a few things that you'll need to start chaining for shiny pokemon.
1. As many max repels or super repels as you can afford. Super repels are cheaper and allow you to walk further for the buck.
**don't forget to always use repel and put a high level Pokemon on the first slot..it will avoid weak Pokemon but not the ones you are chaining)
2. As much balls as you can afford. Buy the types of balls that you like to use. The better the ball the better chance you'll have in catching the shiny pokemon, if it shows up.
**I recommend Nest ball for weak Pokemon, Quick Ball for first encounters and Repeat Ball for those you have captured before.
You need to have high level pokemon in your party. Preferably, high level pokemon with the ability "pick up". Pick up allows your pokemon to pick up random items that you can sell for cash or use on your pokemon. Having a level 100 Meowth is great for making cash. It will give you $1000 ever time you use the move pay day during battles. Make sure you make Meowth hold the item Amulet Coin. If you don't, he'll only give you $500.
Before you walk on the grass use your max or super repel. Then walk to the middle of the grass and turn on the pokeradar (press Y). You will see 1-4 patches of grass move or sparkle. Walk onto either one, the sparkling grass will more likely be a rare or uncommon pokemon. If the pokemon that shows up is what you want, faint it or capture it. It doesn't matter just pick one or the other.
** do not ever ever run, or the chain will be broken..also make sure if Mesprit or Cresselia is still on the run..check your Poketch application Marking Map to check if the legendaries are in that grass/area..while chaingin and if yopu encounter them, then chain is broken.
After you have captured or fainted the first pokemon a new set of 1-4 patches will appear. Now you will need to pick the patch of grass that moved or sparkled the same way as the first patch you stepped on and it has to be at least 4 patches away from your character. That means at least 4 patches away straight up, down, left or right, not just 4 steps away. Do not step on grasses that are on the boarder, corners, against trees, rocks or walls/fences.
If you don't see a patch of grass that you like, reset the radar. Push the same button that you activated the radar with (Y) and it will tell you how much you need to walk until you can use the radar again. Also, when resetting or chaining, do not walk too far away from the moving patches of grass or step onto grass that didn't meet the rules. If you do your chain might break.
If you picked the correct patch your chain will continue. So, faint the second pokemon and do the same thing over and over again. If the counter on you poketch resets your chain broke. Make sure you keep using repel when it tells you that "repel wore off."
Once you've reached chain 30-40, just start resetting the radar over and over again. Until the shiny patch appears. Chain 40 is your goal, there's always a chance that the shiny patch will appear before or after then so be on the lookout.
NOTE: It does not mean that you really have to have 40 to get a shiny, sometimes it is at a lower chain value (like mine last night, Chain 8 = Shiny Ditto). but 40 chains cut down the chances of getting shiny from 1/8192 to 1/200. Much easier
another tip, there are certain Pokemon types and abilities which makes it more easire to chain
Static - electric type
Magnet Pull - steel type
**UNCONFIRMED:
Swarm - bug type
Storm Drain - water type
Cute Charm - normal type
that means if you are chaining Caterpie, for example, use a Pokemon on the first slot of your party with the Swarm ability
good luck guys =) hope these can help
