DanceDanceRevolution X scheduled release this winter!
Winter = 2009?
Could be around December 2008 - Late Janurary/Early February 2009
I'm guessing they'll take the feedback from the location tests and decide the release date accordingly. Right now, I'm guessing December.

Do you think e-amusement cards still required for unlocked something on DDR X?
Let's hope not.USB would be better to save records.

And I think e-amuse cards look cooler than USB sticks... It seems like a much nicer idea, and people won't be able to steal your card, but could run off with your USB...

Ah, that's a good idea, considering how many people on a SuperNOVA in the UK ask HOW DO YOU MAKE IT HARDER?
Yeah, and it's better than smashing on the down arrow trying to bring it from Beginner to Expert (makes me look like a hypocrite for saying stomping is a bad thing ).I guess the thing in the middle could be a USB port, but how do you get that from a circle (it looks like a Pokeball)?

Maybe you plug it in the center of the POKeBALL.
Heck, for all we know, this could just be an artist rendering of the arcade cabinet.

I wish they used the same card system as the Initial D cabs.

I do, too. But I think they don't have patents to that sort of mechanism in their card slots. I doubt Konami will want to negotiate with Sega (who I believe owns the patents to the way the card system works for Initial D).
But wow, I'm actually stoked about this. Can't wait for a default song list. I'm really looking forward to more Konami Originals.
And I'd like to see more Bemani artists on here (commissioned or in-house), i.e. kors k, Sho-T, DJ YOSHITAKA, Ryu, Tomosuke, etc.)

You know, speaking of commissioned music, I wouldn't mind if Big Idea Productions (Monkey Punk, Baile Le Samba, etc.) make a few more songs for DDR X (just not like the crap they did for Ultramix 3)Post #152 · Posted at 2008-07-11 11:33:43am 15.9 years ago

Anyways, I just hope we get some catchy euro songs. I mean, If It's a 10th anniversary, they should respect the roots of DDR

For the person who wanted a 'hard copy' of the Press Release, they just put it up on DDR Community:

I don't know about you, but songs like that are what I think, define DDR. Whenever I used to go play indoor soccer, there would be a DDR USA machine and everyone would either pick, Boys, So Many Men ,Dub I Dub or Make a Jam. Just goes to show you, not everyone wants the latest hip hop songs, or the no nonsense techno songs. *shrugs*

So true. More often than not, the original is better. I really think that for DDRX they should bring back every single song that ever existed with a stepchart. Or even an unlock where you can choose what kind of songwheel you want to see. Could you imagine picking FAXX with the songwheel from 2nd mix? I wonder what the CD would look like...
