They did give Oni songs a visible rating in UN2 and it would seem that UN3 is doing the same, according to the new song wheel picture. So yes, Basic 4/ Difficult 6/ Expert 8/ Oni 9.

Beginner isn't rated on UM/UNI, but it's there as a "special mode".
Why are they being so new crossover-friendly with Uni 3 anyways? Uni 2 had ZERO new-to-DDR crossovers if I recall correctly, and Uni 1 only had two or three.Ultramix 2, the most awesome game, was quite crossover-friendly, so it obviously makes sense to return to that. At least it's not the small quantity of in-house productions Uni 2 had.

I got all 4 ultramixes and Ultramix 1 has no Beginner or Challenge, and Ultramix 2 adds beginner, No Challenge! Do I make myself clear?

...but while Ultramix 2 has Beginner, those steps were auto-generated.On a side note, were those steps generated at random, or were they the same every time?

Yeah, they're basically Light with some steps removed.
Again, Beginner is treated as a special mode, but it's akin to SN's Tutorial Mode taking up multiple stages.
