Also, if they updated the interface to match the Arcade more did the Arcade Characters make the cut or is it all Dance Evolution assets still?

Maybe it's the same new songs we've seen in IIDX ULTIMATE MOBILE, but who knows?

They were bangers worthy of a nice step chart so I wouldn’t be against them being shared.

Okay, I did some more research on this game via RemyWiki, and I just wanna understand one thing. Will there be an option to play the game using on-screen panels like in DanceDanceRevolution S+ and DANCE WARS?

In the previous showcase of the game months ago, I remember they did.

I'm hoping that stays in the updated version.

I’m sure it will stay in. IIDX ultimate mobile is designed to be played on screen or with the controller so I don’t see why this would be any different.

The layout looks perfect, and it's just my type of playstyle, too. Now if only we got the characters from the old games (i.e. 1stMIX - FESTIVAL & STR!KE) while having the dance routines from ULTRAMIX/SuperNOVA.

That's the problem of thoses DDR for mobile. You can't play well in and . Pressing the mobile is horrible honestly.

Why? PIU M was using the same layout as well, and some people are already capable of playing higher-level charts with that layout. Plus, we still haven't heard of DDR UM having a portrait mode yet.

But if tapping your screen to play DDR isn't your forte, I guess an investment in a compatible pad controller is fine.

It's just standard controller play without the tactile feedback. Given that you're able to actually see the controller whilst you play it should be fine.

That actually impressed me.... if only we got some of our original dancers this might actually be a decent game.

Honestly I see so many recycled things and I think that this game was made with a low budget.

My sentiments exactly. If I don’t see anyone from the 1st-5thMIX or SuperNOVA-X era, I’mma be disappointed.

My hopes are pretty low for this game but it does look better then it did the last time we saw it. It would be a real stupid move if they didn’t include older characters. I didn’t play much of Dance Evolution, are the two people in that video right from Evo?

iidx mobile recycled alot of things too, it's just an CS release partially based on their arcade counterparts at the time these mobile releases were being developed (some promotional teasers for ultimate mobile bemani showcased arcade versions and their respective cs version for each series getting a ultimate mobile release side by side)
as for the dancers, i'd rather they use danceevo assets because the current arcade dancers in A20 are still ps2 era ones, and also danceevo has been dead for a while so it'd be a shame if their resources go to waste permanently

My apologies for bumping an older thread but I’ve checked with the mods to make sure it was okay in this case. We all know how excited I am for a glimmer of hope in a new DDR cs title.

We are nearing TGS 2020 and I’m very curious to what has come of both Ultimate Mobile Dance Dance Revolution and Sound Voltex. Both games have seemed to just completely disappear lately. I’m sure some of this is due to Covid but it has been some time since we have received anything new. Konami has a lot titles out with very little information behind them including this game and other PC titles. Konami is set to stream during TGS on Saturday 9/26 for about an hour. What are the chances that we get information on either Ultimate Mobile title or maybe even DDR V? They have seemed very active with Ultimate Mobile IIDX with the new location test songs appearing in it as well.

Konami have two seperate blocks for TGS, and I'm actually willing to assume that the split is because one of them is going to be dedicated to Bemani stuff and the other is going to be whatever else Konami is doing. It's likely that if Ultimate Mobile or even V aren't dead we'll be getting info then.
