So I've gotten the first few hours into Eternal Sonata (360 version) and questioned about the same trend in most JRPGs - An overpowered boss kicking the shit out of Frederic Chopin and Polka with his first strike, insane damage, and buffed up that your attacks barely tickle him.

I know it's story-driven, but cliches like that are getting old (Blue Dragon has that same cliche first hour into the game as well). From Software's Dark Souls better not have this trend even though it's significantly darker than a typical JRPG.

It's not a waste of money. I like the game. It's very calming and it's different from all the games they're (the game companies) are putting out these days.
But, my apologies. I should have elaborated myself:
There really isn't a whole point to the game, and you can't get hurt in any level except Level 5.
And it's a long level.
It's all just senseless rage, I guess. The game itself is fun if you give it a chance.
I should shut up and go back to NOBY NOBY BOY.

I spent today watching someone repeatedly die playing Skyrim. With a tendency to not save bordering on the phobic. OH HOW I LOVE WATCHING YOU GO THROUGH THE SAME DUNGEON FOR THREE HOURS STRAIGHT.

I was playing RAGE earlier today on Nightmare difficulty. I forgot to save off and on throughout the Shrouded Clan's Hideout. I ended up dying right towards the end and had to start all the way at the beginning. I quit for a while.
