Well I'm done for this RSF unless I somehow get something from free tickets.

The Good:
-Got Rebellion
-Got ソンザイキョウドウタイ
-Finished unlocking all difficulties on my old songs from before this RSF

The Bad:
-Lost a lot of ticket plays to finish unlocking NFTR [MAS] and DAZZLING♥SEASON [MAS]
-I got teased by Reseed a lot :<

The Ugly:
-Holy shit I just spent 2400 tickets to get 2 songs
-Those Rebellion unlock conditions

Still on the road with RSF. I'm doing a new "experiment" a setting a different difficulty everyday. Yesterday was Standard, and it's amazing how the game can tease a player with just one Blue ULC song every 9 or 10 tries (in my case, Rebellion, the only Standard I haven't unlocked so far). Today was Hard difficulty all-day and not even a single ULC so far.

Songs that have been teasing me so far:

STANDARD
電脳少女は歌姫の夢を見るか？ -3 times, and the 3 were straight one after the other-
戦国BASARA (SENGOKU BASARA) -4 times-
Reseed -4 times-

HARD
Sundrop (2 times)

Just one more hour before I switch to Master Difficulty.


Once I got just one NM Yellow ULC, and it's by far the worst song of the whole tracklist (in my opinion): チルドレン・オートマトン～ある歌声の亡霊～.
Got that abomination after more than 400 plays and around 1830 premium tickets spent. If I remember correctly, it was during 18th RSF. I really hope your case was better and you like those two songs you got (°u°)d

Hey you spelled Sapphire wrong.

チルドレン・オートマトン～ある歌声の亡霊～ is one of those songs that actually grew on me as I went through the unlock challenges for it. At first I wasn't too fond of it like you but by the end of the day I came to appreciate the unique chiptune / rock charm the song had going for it.

Also yeah I'm pretty happy with this RSF as Rebellion alone made the event worthwhile. It's not in my top-tier stuff but t's definitely a quality song imo.
I think my worse RSF to date was the one where I only got Deep Outside as I don't really like that kind of music, but I just operate on a kind of "Something is better than nothing" philosophy.

Hahahaha, it's just a personal opinion (I just fixed that). And, believe it or not, it would be really amazing to get Sapphire.

I think Nu Heat is far more deserving of that dubious distinction. Plus it has a chart that's almost as bad as the music (and to even call it "music" is stretching the definition by my standards).

Other songs I think are worse than チルドレン・オートマトン:
- 仲間を探したい: Well, there's your problem! With singing like that, it's no wonder the singer is still trying to find friends! This is the second-worst song in the game behind Nu Heat, in my opinion.
- Underworld: The backup singer really should see a doctor about that kidney stone. A bit of a pity though, since the instrumental accompaniment is quite good but the hoarse screaming is too obnoxiously in your face.

OKaaaaay! I've been doing some heavy thinking, and....I've decided, despite my malicious rant, to give this game an even more serious try. After calculating and contemplating for a day, I've made the decision to spend real money on this game for the first time by purchasing the current BIG PREMIUM TICKET SALE package (3900 Cb [3900JPY]); my decision was also influenced by the integrity and resilience of the players here that have also spent their fair share of money and devotion to this game. Unlike some, this is a big shift for me at this particular time. Like I said before, I played this game from launch in 2013 with only FREE TICKETS and the disappointment of it only being an online music game with a hefty file size (after a while). I haven't taken this game as serious as the lot of you, but after seeing so many pages of posts with players' stellar PREMIUM TICKET counts, I had to ask myself, "Are they really dishing out THAT much money on this online music game?"....I then figured that it must be true, but the "sales/discounts" are relatively skimpy. Logging in for a week to get 5 PREMIUM TICKETS, which you can burn faster than an erasermotor phantom engine, just wouldn't cut it enough to keep up with some of the event prizes even after carefully planning an elaborate FREE TICKET schedule for the event period (usually a week, right?), eg. ROCK (BLUE) skin requiring 5000000 personal points (or appropriate elite ranking) to obtain. The only time I had over 100 PREMIUM TICKETS was when everyone received it as part of the commemorative celebration shortly after the game was released. Sometimes we get reimbursed for server maintenance, but I can't always just rely on such incidents. Playing the game is fun, but being limited to even play songs really gives me less motivation to play, especially with the whole taxing ticketing system.



I did say that I felt the CROSS x BEATS (iOS) songlist to be rather mediocre; it's probably because I haven't discovered and unlocked most of the songs due to my previous long hiatus of not playing CROSS x BEATS (iOS), which was nearly all of 2014. I only have 39 songs available as of today, so I should not make final judgement so quickly, and yes I knew about our returning BEMANI artists' songs showing up on the game, but I probably haven't unlocked most of those as well.




My Friends List is currently around 9/20 people, one of them being Alan himself; the rest are random people. My ID is 48857273. I will pursue the MISSIONS more rigorously in hopes to get more rewards (like PREMIUM TICKETS and such). I have hordes of LINK ENERGY because I don't play shared songs that I already own, and so far, only 2 or 3 usual songs are shared for me to play (and I own them all...common songs that most of you probably unlocked a long time ago). Spt is not easy to obtain, and it seems that even with 750 PREMIUM TICKETS, Tatsh's Impact song's spt cost (50000 spt) would still be exceedingly too high...unless there are spt farming tactics that I know not of. I will also have to depend on the Random Select Festival events to unlock most of the songs that I don't own; tedious it is, believe me, I know....but that's how I unlocked Cross Angel, so there's always a chance for success.



Lastly, I will have to try my best to keep a conservative attitude and spend my PREMIUM TICKETS as wisely as possible by balancing my play frequency in relation to the FREE TICKET regeneration system and my purchased PREMIUM TICKETS. I would have to adhere to the daily login schedule to get the bonus 5 PREMIUM TICKETS as well to help sustain my ability to play songs with a conservative edge. Playing the game might feel like an endless task with some fun packaged in....so when there's nothing to do, or if I just feel like playing a song that I enjoy without thinking about missions and whatnot, I could splurge (use all 10) my FREE TICKETS to enjoy it every once in a while. This will be my first time ever on iOS spending over $1.00USD (120JPY) for an IAP on an online-only game; I usually grind to the end, but for CxB, I've decided to take a serious tangent and dive into the premium world, but will likely be a one-time thing unless I "get hooked" on the premium path.

I'd highly recommend taking the songlist out for a really good spin, since it seems like all you've heard of it are the songs that you have and any event songs that may have showed up since you started playing again. Padoo was nice enough to provide videos for every original in the game with mp3 downloads included.
One of the major motivators that keeps me spending on RSF is the prospect of getting one of a couple of songs that I absolutely NEED to have: Reanimation, Cosmology, and KING STUN, and this is probably the reason behind a couple other people's spending habits. If you find just those couple of songs or even just that one song that you'd do anything to get you'll probably get hooked on RSF. Granted, I'm not saying that getting hooked on this money sink is a good thing because I'm pretty sure RSF could qualify many of us for a gambling addiction xD.

In addition, the more friends you have the easier it is to get spt as there is a higher chance of being online / having the tickets to spend when someone else is doing an unlock challenge. I ran into the same problem where I just couldn't build up spt when I first started because I only had around 4 to 6 friends, but after awhile managed to build my freind list up so there was a much higher chance of getting spt from unlock challenges because the were happening more frequently. This is definitely a game where more friends is better.

Also in my opinion song skins shouldn't really be something you actively seek out during events. They are purely asthetic in all honest and the cost to get them is too high to warrant spending the time to try to get them usually. I only have a few, which I only got because I either had to go ham on a team during a team event so I could get both event songs because they went ham as well or I used the event as an excuse to work through unlocks.

I agree with Darkstorm. Take a crack at RSF and see what you get. You can get one song, multiple RSFs, various unlocks, or nothing but pain and suffering.

That last option barely happens if you have a few hundred tickets

I can't take credit for the "with free tickets" thing as I bought a handful of premium tickets (60) with some money leftover on my iTunes account to unlock 甘い言葉's charts real quick after it surprised me and used the leftover 15 tickets for RSF, somehow snagging Frgmnts.
Still a pretty nice surprise for me though since Frgmnts is a nice song. This RSF is turning out to be one of my better ones for new songs.

Still nothing new here. I guess I'll just keep doing Random until the end, since autumn revival doesn´t have too many mission and (hopefully) can be done with free tickets.

Important Notice: Based on a personal experience I had regarding RSF exclusive songs, if any of them is elected and labeled as "Event" -in this case DAZZLING♡SEASON (Darwin Remix)-, the 3 difficulties will cost 5 tickets per play. It doesn't matter if you don't have the song. In fact, it doesn't even matter if you have the song, but you haven't unlocked it yet, it will still cost 5 tickets per play on all difficulties anyway.

My experience was with Murasame on the HighScore Attack Event "Ultimate Beats -2nd Episode-". I got the song on a Random Select Festival previous to that Event and couldn't unlock Master difficulty on time. Surprisingly, the game didn't charge me any additional ticket cost and I only spent 5 tickets per play on Master, even when, up to this day, I don't have that difficulty unlocked yet.

Son a bitch beat me to it. These songs sound okay, but I'll still try and snag them for the sake of snagging.

I think I also came up with a theory. In RSF, I think it matters if you have challenge unlock bar full and that you have completed all other songs in that difficulty. I kept repeatedly getting EverWhite/Dreaming Girl Standard to appear until I cleared their unlocks respectively. This theory isn't 100% but this is certainly a strong possibility from my experience with and without free tickets.

Spent over 200 tickets trying to master Cross Angel (MASTER) in order to unlock The Epic, which requires you to S+ a level 60 or higher...it was the easiest route for me with my current songlist. I can beat both songs' MASTER difficulties on ULTIMATE MODE. I also obtained and unlocked Giant Killing (MASTER).

So, here's the status report:

-Unlocked Cross Angel on RSF with FREE TICKETS
-Paid 3900 Cb (3900¥) for 750 PREMIUM TICKETS
-Unlocked The Epic and Giant Killing
-Currently down to 180 PREMIUM TICKETS


RSF hasn't given me anything new since, and I'm not interested in the next upcoming event's songs. I now have 41/162 songs now, that's TWO more than before!! :D ("sarcasm" doesn't even qualify). At this rate, I will be out of PREMIUM TICKETS soon enough; I do have the impulse to buy more, but I think I'll just go back to FREE TICKETS and rigorous time management. Cowtao and Darkstorm091, thank you for your support, I'll continue to prevail as best as possible.

A quick tip to save you tickets is to FC twice the 3 tickets songs [MAS].i usually play Wanna Be Your Special and I have the unlock bar at full after two full combos.

I think you need to do that on ULTIMATE MODE for maximum efficacy.
