Let's take a bet now shall we?

First off, which Lady Gaga song would you want to have on the new DDR: Poker Face? Love Game? Just Dance?

If they decide to bring back Never Gonna Give You Up, I'm gonna be like this: WTF?

Here's to hoping they would put the song Alice by Moby in the mix, despite making an appearance in Universe 3.

Another Fatboy Slim song? Last time we got that was SN2.

The cover version of I'm Coming Out kinda sucked...

I was hoping for Boom Boom Pow, instead of Let's Get It Started, but nonetheless, both songs would be okay.

A good choice for including Closer and Disturbia. Thumbs up for that.

I actually didn't notice that watermarked phrase beneath the logo, silenttype.

There's always that period in which a game is named the same as the first game in that series. The only thing I could think of
is Metal Slug for the PS2 which was completely in 3D. This relation would be even truer if we consider balance board
gameplay for the Wii and Octomove for the 360 and PS3 as deviations rather than enhancements in gameplay.

I somehow think that the European covers would be a recolor of the American ones (anyone up for Pink?).

In other news IGN now says that Dance Dance Revolution will be released in Australia, The United Kingdom (Europe), The United States (North America) and Japan. At least... they do for the Wii release. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases are still English only and the PlayStation 2 version is an American exclusive. Huh?

All dates for all versions in all regions remains TBA/2009.

I'm not entirely sure if an Xbox 360 version will be released for Japan, I think the Xbox and/or the 360 didn't sell very well in there. But Idolm@ster and Otomedius can prove it otherwise.

What's kinda scary is that IGN might be RIGHT. And the game will see different distribution based on which console it's on. The only part that confuses me is why would Japan suffer only a single release that would strip them of their ability to get all the DLC? Maybe they didn't want the game at all and then saw Naoki-san play on the Balance Board and got starry-eyed.

I actually am stumped by this. I can't think of anything to respond to this. But who will handle the Japanese Xbox 360 release?

I'm guessing that if they divvy the development to the studios who were already handling each console's respective release it'll be:

PlayStation 2/3 - KCEJ (Japan)
Xbox 360/Wii - KDE (America)

Which would still make sense even if they're asking everyone to work with the same materials. It would also explain why the 360 and Wii have the album art wheel and the PS2 (PS3?) still have the classic songwheel. Unless Konami Prime tells them otherwise they're just updating the latest engines for those consoles the same way they would if it were business as usual.

It wouldn't be the first Xbox release in Asian territory, just the first for the Japanese 360. Universe 2, 3 and Chinese Music Special Edition were developed by KDE originally and then tweaked and distributed by KDEL (Hong Kong).

That's what I have in mind as to what the final version will be. Minimal interface tweaks for the Xbox 360 and the PS2 (Wii version just got the Groove Radar, so I guess I can overlook that).

Which is one of my complaints with DDR X. I can still see SN2 in the interface. But if the PS2 version gets an interface overhaul to match the Wii and the 360 version, it's gonna take a lot of getting used to (Hello Extreme USA) and SM will break due to yet another change in DDR.

In short what I'm asking in the PS2 version is a complete re-skinning of the interface, if not a total make-over.

AeronPeryton, I've already mentioned that the PS3/360 versions are being made by the same team, which is not the American team. I believe KCEJ is handling them. I think the Hottest Party games were progressing towards cd art banners since they started too, since they've always been kind of big. I welcome the cd art is it does away with poorly made banners.

As for the Lady Gaga song, I hope its "Just Dance". I think that is the most "danceable" out of the bunch. I think Love Game is a little too perverse for whatever the game gets rated.

It's most likely going to be Just Dance, as that's the song also used in Karaoke Revolution.

Gosha, since you know which team is producing it, would you happen to know which team is stepping it?

I don't know too much about the development. I just know a Japanese team is working on the game. Dukamok I believe works for marketing or something now, so he isn't stepping it. Things could change though. I would think whoever did the steps for HP2/X would be doing the new games steps, not anyone from the American teams.
