I wouldn't say Guitar Hero Encore should be one of the worst. Granted, it's overpriced, but it's not properly suck. Stepping Selection, anyone?

Halo isn't much of an offender as you think. The main games were released in 2001 (Halo), 2004 (Halo 2), 2007 (Halo 3), and 2010 (Halo: Reach). ODST and Wars (both released in 2009) I consider side games despite being set within the Halo canon.

The Saw films are an even worse offender. Seven films in seven years, each one (IMO) sucking worse than the previous.

Exactly, which is why I buy a COD game every other year.

Oh I wasn't referring to those games actually. I was targeting Halo 4 (alongside the other two games in the new trilogy). The ones you mentioned are the ones I found great.

Although I found ODST looked a bit of a cash in since it was recycling Halo 3 Multiplayer and went out and said "New Multiplayer" on the box (herp derp we can say that because it counts FireFight!!1!), but I heard that it was Microsoft who told Bungie that they couldn't just release it as DLC (or something along those lines). Though since I didn't own Halo 3, but liked the multiplayer and beat its campaign, ODST was actually a cheaper choice for me. In terms of people who already bought Halo 3 plus all its map packs, I feel they got ripped off a little since they were paying for stuff they already had. Only benefit they'd get would be a few additional multiplayer maps.

I'm slightly annoyed that the Anniversary Edition is taking the same path ODST did. They are re-packaging the Reach multiplayer and adding some new maps. I own Reach plus the map packs so it really kind of bugs me I am forced to pay for the multiplayer and maps again unless I find the campaign disc used somewhere.


On a related note I found out the Ultimate Bundle for Assassin's Creed Revelations is not available in Canada, but it is in the US. I am not very pleased. It looks like I'll have to go with the Signature Edition instead. At least I still get the soundtrack and AC: Embers.
