First draft/Placeholder of DDR boxart. I like the new look!

Also, great how they're aiming for 2 player support with the Balance Board. Wonder how that'll work!

It's good but it still needs something more, also it's almost a little too blue and could use some more colour variety. Also why oh why must Konami insist on removing the spaces between words? It should be Dance Dance Revolution not DanceDanceRevolution, the latter just looks messy and wrong by any English standard. If the side of the box says DanceDanceRevolution then I am murdering someone I swear.
My favourite box art still remains to be the Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party one. I love the energetic looking silhouette girls on that one and the Wii remote and nunchuck giving off a sort of 'energy'. Really helped to make the game look vibrant and sexy. Only thing I would have changed is putting a guy in instead of one of the two background girls to add variety and help remind people that lads play this game too and it's OK that we do!
Also I agree on the lack of subtitle thing, maybe they should follow SingStar's example and call it Dance Dance Revolution Vol.1 or something just to help differentiate between versions. Then they can make as many different cross-platform versions as they like to keep things simple. The ideal solution in my mind would be for each new volume to have a standard selection of 50 or 60 licences and original songs and then you can purchase DLC for the Wii, 360 and PS3 versions which can be used on any Volume you want. It would also be AMAZING if Konami employed SingStar's disc swap system where you could swap volumes mid game on the song selection screen and load up each versions individual songs (while retaining all DLC), of course the chances of Konami doing something so useful, amazing and user-friendly are slim at best.

Very yes! I think they should keep that girl's silhouette.

Let's just hope that the box art is nearly identical for all of the regions. I hate the Americans getting energetic-looking dance art and us... family and fitness, ugh.

That boxart reminds me of Beatmania US...
And the singer for A Brighter Day sounds like Kermit the Frog.
PS3 version looks a little bit better in motion. Is that Times Square they're using as a background?

1. It somehow does, but we now have three dancers in the background and no DJ.And the singer for A Brighter Day sounds like Kermit the Frog.

2. O.o what?
3. Seems like it, that or some place within the "Street Master" city that just HAPPENS to look like Times Square

October 28th? Sounds great to go on for now.
Still hoping for September though.

I agree on the HP Boxart.
As for needing something more, I think something pertaining to the Wii version's exclusive features would be nice (adding in a Remote & Nunchuk & BB-compatible icon on the front too) and of course, seeing an online logo would be extremely exciting but I won't hold my breath for the Wii version as much as I'm dying to see it...

Amazon has gotten their product sites up for DDR.
Amazon.
There's a higher resolution pic of the boxart. Strangely, Amazon lists the release date as December 31st.

Al, where did you get the DDR logo for the splash on the front page? Can you post it?

December 31st must be the European release date, as in December 31st 2010.
