I don't know if you can exactly say they're being 'hush-hush' about it, as they've been displaying it in many public concerts for over a week. However, I'm sure it has something to do with the arcade version still being in the very early stages (When SN2 CS was at Comic-Con/E3, the release was only a month away. DDR:X AC was only announced just a few weeks ago and its release is most likely at least three months away).

O_O Maybe they'll show it at the NIN concert in Winnipeg in about 4 days or so!

look I may not know what is going on but i have a feeling that we will eventually get the news, so please just calm down guys. the game comes out what in a month and a few weeks? i think i can wait that long.

Uh...no? Konami is only showcasing their games at certain Linkin Park Projekt Revolution concerts . Some people have claimed they are going to some of these concerts, so we can only hope they can get some information there. Otherwise, we'll most likely have to wait for an update from Konami.

or until the game actually comes out in September, I'm sorry to say this, but I really like how Konami hasn't given us much information at all about the game, it makes me want to buy it even more, who knows what songs are on it its like a spooky TV show that you don't know what could happen next. Very scary. lol.

True, unfortunately, for all the wrong reasons. I fear this mix will turn out to be SuperNOVA 2.5, instead of the 10th anniversary game it is supposed to be.

X uses the same engine as SuperNOVA 2 (i think). Which doesn't prove it to be any more unique than the last game. Though it might be smart so they can concentrate on other things for this game?

Even more unfortunate, the best we can do is hope that X=10, not X=2.5

yes your right, lol. I swear in three years, are DDR wil contain nothing more than DDR X songs. lol but w/e we can't do anything. THere's still to many songs that we haven't even gotten yet, and Konami is taking it's sweat time trying to give us those songs.

I agree, alot of people are afraid that this will end up just like DDR Supernova 2. I am kind of scared too. I really hope we get all new songs. Otherwise I'll be mad.

I kinda agree with Arctic Wolves here. Sure we're getting new songs in DDR X, but at the same time we're also getting the good leftovers from SN2 AC and maybe some from EXTREME (if any). Hell, I'm surprised we're getting butterfly and DUB-I-DUB, especially the former. Hopes for HERO (HAPPY GRANDALE MIX)

Unless if Konami uses engine like DDR Universe or DDR Ultramix 4

Haha, I wish they would use the engine from Ultramix 4. But, that's the Xbox...
I'm just saying, Konami could've made some attempt to distinguish this game from the SuperNOVA series. Like how SuperNOVA 'backgrounds' were radically different from Extreme 2. The dancers, no more song background art, introduction to stages. But those are just bg's, we want songs!!

But without BG, there's something missing for StepMania. So I prefer DDR have BG too and after somebody upload the simfiles, we get full complete simfiles. Made custom BG is more difficult than I thought.

Well, yeah. We've had fewer PS2 releases than Japan and each song has several debuts, so of course we're going to be "catching up" all the time. Besides, when you think about it, we got the home version first.

Well the PS2 game is suposed to link with the arcade one, so if this IS just a catch up with SN2 with some new songs, then Konami sure made a cock-up.
