Seriously, employees at casinos/clubs don't even QUESTION me, they just automatically assume I'm a minor trying to sneak in and turn me away before I have to show them my ID to convince them. One time I was even pulled over by some cops because they thought I was ditching school, good grief, I'm 22...
Don't feel bad about people questioning your age. I was carded at a liquor store in Baltimore last month when buying a bottle of wine. I was clean-shaven at the time, which makes me look a lot younger. I'm actually 28 years old. Not the first time I've been stopped by a cop or a storeowner.Quote: eataninja
I also don't understand how All of the Lights didn't win anything (over freaking Bieber, no less), but I'm not going to complain about it much, mostly because I stopped caring about the VMA results about halfway through last night. -_-
I stopped caring about the VMAs since 2004. The VMAs are practically irrelevant as less and less music videos are played on MTV.Post #15044 · Posted at 2011-08-31 03:07:48am 14 years ago

I think it's one of those really stupid memes that only a select few find funny, like JOHN MADDEN or...whatever other stupid meme we've had that few people found funny.

So I got CoD4 on Sunday. Already done on Tuesday. Why couldn't IW make it last at least a week?
Also I'm probably going to buy MW2 soon.

It's the same lentgh, slightly longer but if you played it in one sitting straight shot you can finish in less than 15 hours. Granted you play Easy or Medium difficulty. Also I'm probably going to buy MW2 soon.

I never really had to chance to completely express myself and explain my history with music, so here goes nothing.
Over the years, since the day I was born, I had this hidden potential in me concerning my creativity, mainly music. A lot of my thoughts have been me just being myself, letting my mind flow with all sorts of music. I felt like I was in total paradise. However, I was disappointed because I never really had the chance to completely express it, until one day...
Back when I was 9 or 10 years old, I took one of the biggest leaps of my life by learning how to play the piano, thanks to a very special teacher named Eleanor Handy. Not surprisingly, I was excelling and learned how to play the piano at a fast rate. Most of all, not only did I learn how to play a new instrument, I also learned the logistics of music theory to a professional level without even realizing it. Now, if you take me to a piano in a room, guess what? I'm gonna play it. To be honest, I haven't read sheet music in a while and can't really play music well if I read it off a couple pieces of paper, but here's what I'll do. I'll just mess around, let my fingers move across the keys, making these wonderful sounds, and I have the ability to calm anyone's nerves. I can still do that to this day.
So I thought I completely found my true potential when I learned to play the piano, but that really wasn't the case. I still had something missing, because I knew for a fact later on that I never really reached my full musical potential yet. I have been trying to figure out what I can do to reach that true potential of mine, and I almost gave up. Thank God I didn't because I took another leap that changed my life again.
In early 2009, while looking at a bunch of videos on YouTube, I stumbled across some videos of people working with a piece of software called Fruityloops, or FL Studio, which was a music producing program that worked with a whole list of genres, mainly electronic ones. I thought it was pretty cool at the time, so I gave it a try for myself. At first, when I opened it up, I was like "hurrrrrrr..." But then, I gave myself a chance and played around with it. By the way, this program is for professional use, so it's pretty damn complicated, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard to use. After a couple months of experimenting with this program, I started making songs. They were pretty mediocre, but I was learning, just I like I was when I learned how to play the piano, but the big difference is that I was completely free. There was no limits. I was learning how to be really creative, and that didn't stop there.
A little over two years later, which is now, I pretty much learned all I needed to know about FL Studio. What I usually did for songs was pull stuff out of my ass and put it in the program and it usually worked. It worked very well, almost too well. Then, I started to think. Music is an art. I should be putting my music into more thought. I needed to implement feelings and emotions into songs. That's what makes music such an art. So, I did. I implemented emotions into my songs and prepared my projects and a closer rate. I couldn't have been happier.
Amazing, right? But here's the truth, though. I still never met my full potential yet, but I get closer and closer every day and get so much beter at producing as time goes on.

Your music is still kind of bland in some degree and needs to expand, yes.
