No idea. Probably not. I wanted to try earlier (connection was down for several minutes in the arcade) but I don't feel like risking $2.50 for that so yeah.

Wow, this pretty much makes Dance Wars the best 2013 DDR game released.
It's an always-online mobile DDR game. That's how bad this is turning out to be at the moment.

According to the R1's blank Tricoro machine......................I believe the answer is No.

Bit of an overreaction.

Yeah, it was a bit much, but if you think about it, the only time the game was ever really down was twice for maintenance, at first the game wasn't patched for fast BPM songs but it was then later corrected, and things are still smooth-sailing for the game for the most part outside of the whole 'STAMINA' issue.
This game however, it seems like every time I pop into the thread I hear about something faulty with the game whether it's the hardware or the software, some of the issues have been patched but, this was supposed to be a full-fledged DDR game to keep it going for a good long while, eventually all the issues will be fixed but then it begs the question of whether or not the staff was going to hold off on patching the game from the very beginning or was there just some 'rush' to get the game out early on in the year?
An overreaction may just be an understatement, and I know past DDR versions were never 'perfect' when they were first released, but I've never heard so many issues on a brand new title/machine within the first month alone.

About the BSOD... error 7E? That's a nasty error, usually related to a driver installation.

no way why i keep disliking BSOD. Why not upgrading OS into Windows Embedded Standard (based on W7 or W8)?

The game crashing doesn't make it bad, I've seen an arcade here running ScanDisk on a tricoro for some reason, games crash. On a custom system (like most older arcade games) those games just do a silent reboot and all you really see is the game restarting. On games built on Windows you actually see the crash like you would on a computer so for a lot of customers that looks worse, especially when it just sits there.
DanceDanceRevolution requires a connection to eAmuse to even boot, let alone play. I watched this happen on two machines in Akihabara when the game came out. They had to connect the machines to ethernet and wait several minutes before the cabinets were allowed to start. Trying to boot them offline produced an error message when the 'DDR.exe' program was being launched.

I'm amazed that Konami didn't enable the "Restart automatically" option when a system error occurs

They did though. At least I've watched a couple of the new DDR machine here crash and then reboot instantly. So I don't know what happened in that picture, unless someone got lucky and snapped the blue screen for the few seconds it was on screen.

See I could agree with you here if it only happened on those rare occasions. Ever since this was released I've heard nothing but stories of this game crashing pretty regularly and the sync getting completely fucked and the like. "It's just restarting" isn't a good enough excuse; it's still annoying as hell when it happens all the time.
My opinion is pretty irrelevant since I rarely play DDR and probably won't ever play this version any time soon, but seriously if this happened with any other game I'd have the same stance. This stuff should've been ironed out in the development stage and having the players act as lab rats almost for these problems is pretty sad to be honest.

You're right that it's no excuse when the game has a reproducible and reliable crash like it was on the prior patch. But the frequent crashing and IMO the syncing issues have been taken care of so the only time the game will crash now is those rare once in a blue moon moments. ...Which is what I was referring to when saying that crashing isn't necessarily a bad thing. All games have those moments.
As the game stands right now, I think it should be judged on how the soundtrack and stepcharts compares to other DDR games. Not the outdated crashing issues, lag, why don't the arrow panels light up?, etc.

Is the blue screen of death photo Silverhawke posted something that happens out of the blue, or only when you try to turn on the machine without e-amuse?
Reading the thread, I thought he bumped it in response to a question about playing it without e-amuse. If that's it, I don't see the problem since I thought we've known for a long time that it's an e-amuse only game.
