So I decided to play DDR Universe 3 after not playing it for the longest time....and now I remember why I stopped playing it. I don't know if its my TV (it's a 26" Sanyo flatscreen) , or my pad or what, but it seems like the timing of the game is way off. I tried adjusting it a bit to see that fixed anything, but not what I hoped for.

I was playing Super Puzzle Fighter II TURBO HD REMIX, with Devilot as my character, and for some reason...on stage 2, I was getting nothing but yellow and green gems...Sure, I won the match quickly, but I don't understand why that happened...

^That's weird... I love Devilot's win phrases
I bent a spoon while trying to scoop myself some Rainbow Sherbet.
I beat Flower EXT on jukebeat for the first time.

The new WindSeeker at Knott's Berry Farm is boring. The whole time I was just like

I'm guessing your TV's an LCD 16:9 widescreen. I have the same problem on my 32" Magnavox. I've also tried it on a 42" Philips plasma. In both cases, the DDR Universes lagged even after adjustment. Then played it on a 36" Sony 4:3 CRT, with adjustments reset to 0. The games played better on the CRT than the other two TVs. It all has to do with the response times of the TVs. Generally, the response times on CRTs are less than one millisecond (<1ms). However, on LCD screens (not sure about Plasma screens and LED screens), the response time is about 5ms.

Well, looks like karma is really good at being a bitch and it's amusing me. My dad was putting me down about how I lost my job last week because of how incompetent I am and how I never do things right. After a night of being cussed out and verbally abused, they just called him from work earlier and told him that he was fired. He learned the hard way what's like to be an asshole to me and not expect any form of consequence. What a week...

Did you specifically point it out to your dad? Did you quote him and used the same lines that he used on you? Did you rub it in his face?
I would have. I wish I had a father.

No, I couldn't. It's not that I'm scared but as soon as we came home and found out that he had been fired, he raised hell and blamed me and my mom for everything. When he was spewing all that crap that it was my fault that I lost my job and everything, my mom and told him that he is going to pay for being such a dick. The next day, we come home to find him home still and he had received a call out of the blue telling him that he was no longer needed and more crap hit the fan. He said that my mom jinxed him which is strange because he's not superstitious. I'll kick him when he's down later but right now the shock is still working it's way through his head because he's been working at this place for a little over 10 years and all of his coworkers and superiors really liked him and depended on him. He can suffer for it for all I care

Or you can do the exact opposite... Give him moral support, try to make him feel better rather than worse. One's enemies make powerful allies.

That doesn't work with this one. Support doesn't work on him because he himself has never given it. He'll get back on his feet sooner or later, life has dealt him just as much hell as it has to me.

Wow, I thought my father sucked. Sorry to hear this silverdragon. Once you manage to get another job, can you/your mother move out? It sounds like he's being a self-righteous, childish prick and you honestly don't need the extra stress in your life.

I can move out but it's not so easy for my mom because she's still going through chemotherapy and all her medicines are shipped here and her doctors are here. There's little to no point in staying in my area for a job in my field so I have to move to a much bigger city with more opportunity and she can't make such a big change like that. And the stress is no problem, I've been dealing with it for a little over 25 years.
