DDR II & hottest party 5 (Wii) (International)

Am I the only one here that is having a heart attack from the songlist so far? I hope we get some new KOnami orignals, some more new ones.

....but I want to see if the interface and gameplay FEELS like it'll be a good game, and not some bubbly Hottest Party one.

We're excited BECAUSE of the X2 crossovers.

Now I want to know if it's still only for the Wii or also for the 360/PS3. Even if it isn't, I'll have to get this for the Wii; it's looking amazing so far

It's only for the Wii.

I wonder what some of the X2 songs will be rated on the old 1-10 rating system.

I'm feel more positive about getting the X scale now.

They should just put these songs up as a download pack for the 2010 PS3/360 versions if they don't want to make an all new game.

Yup, the 1-10 scale is just so inadequate at expressing the difficulty differences of the RDA songs and your typical jun boss song. So it'd be silly to not have the X scale, so I feel more confident that it'll be the X scale. The interface certainly supports it.

Well most of these songs can be expressed up to their Expert charts and I seriously doubt they'll put the Challenge charts in for the Wii. I mean seriously, I want to see anyone pass VD on a Wii pad.

I think we'll get the X-scale. Since the foot ratings only displayed the numbers, it couldn't be too hard, they don't need to clear up space in the interface or anything to do it. The 1-10 scale would be awful on the X2 songs.
I also remember that DDR X2 CS used the 1-10 scale at E3 but ended up using the 20 scale in the final version.

DDR X2 CS used the X scale on the E3 demo, it's just that there was no song above a 10 on the demo, so it confused some people (especially with HP3 being there using the 1-10 scale)

I'm not that thrilled about the revealed songs . I want to know about the revivals . Since I haven't played DDR X2 AC yet .

Am I the only one who thinks VD, if on the old scale, would be rated 7/10/10/10/10? I know 13 is a solid 9, but I think they would've tried to overhype the difficulty for fright value of sorts, like... You wanna try VD? Look at it... Four 10-footer charts, good luck!

Am I the only one disappointed by all this? Why couldn't they have just ported X2 AC to the PS2 and call it a day? Now the chances of getting X2 are slim to none.

Now theres the issue of getting a PS2-Wii converter, which I assume will introduce some sort of lag. Plus, and im pretty sure I may be the only one who has this opinion, but I cant stand the HP interface. It just looks so hideous compared to the main games; not to mention the characters. I havent played the HP games for a while, did they even introduce full mods and doubles yet?

I dunno. Judging by the comments, im probably the only one who feels this way. Guess ill wait for the simfile pack.

@vectaur: DDR II borrows much of what DDR X3 vs. 2ndMIX's music selection (and "doors") screen look like, so it's really not going to be much different than actually playing on the arcade version of X3.

Also, the bundle at Gamestop is now $39.99 (or $49.99, not sure). I really think that is a sweet deal for those (like me) who never had a Wii DDR game to buy the game with the mat.

PS2 is semi-dead, you gotta plan on moving on dude.

You pretty much are one out of many of us that doesn't like the way this game is going right now, but that's your call so...yeah.
