DDR X2 (AC) (International)

@[Des-ROW] I thought it they had problems creating dancing characters for the DDRMAX through Extreme arcade mixes (what with the game running on Playstation hardware). But I agree with you somewhat when they removed videos for technically almost everything except Extreme 2/STR!KE when Supernova came (to the point where just about NONE of the debuting Konami Originals even had videos).

It is much more time consuming to make unique videos. This is why beatmania IIDX contracts a lot of video work to outside studios and still has a lot of generic videos (the equivalent of the DDR dancers doing generic dances). They use transplant videos where available, and I expect some new KO videos, but don't expect too much. Unique dances are a nice in-between, since they're probably easier to script than making a unique video, and they're fun to watch.

I think it would be pretty sweet if during versus, some songs has special couples dance routines involving a guy + girl rather than both characters doing the same routine (or random). Like imagine swing dancing to Heaven in s a 57 Metallic Gray, line dancing to Jet World or a waltz to a really slow song.

Some Wii songs have something like that (PARADISE from HP3 and Just Believe from HP2 come to mind).

I'm bored playing DDR without unique BG Video.

From my experience, some newbie player (especially young girl) attracted with DDR song that have nice BG Video.

Such as Candy Love, DoLL, Xepeher, etc.

Yeah ... and no just youg girls... actually is most interesting for the audience see a Unique Background Movie, plus that make difference in a song... some people ask me why i play everytime the same song when i play different songs everytime .
