Yeah well I'm assuming the US chart is somewhat similar to ours, here half the songs are either rap/hip hop or at least feature some sort of non-white artist in some way or another. A recent classic is Bonkers by Dizzee Rascal, lovely stuff indeed. Well at least with the title of the song he is being somewhat honest.

The again I do love pop music like Steps, S Club and most stuff of Dancemania so my musical taste isn't exactly brilliant...

Sadly, yes. In the US a very far behind but welcome series of mix albums began coming out a little over a decade ago called NOW!, which featured a very eclectic mix of music, most of which I liked. NOW NOW! is 30 tracks of rap/hiphop/and, god help me, swishahouse and the newest Brittney Spears song. Aeron is a sad panda. Thankfully there's a powerful antidote to Rap called Trance. Ultra and Ibiza are my best fwiends!
