Mortal Kombat 9 will have Skarlet available for download on the 21st of June for $4.99

In order to ensure that a person can play with another that bought the DLC, NRS will be offering a compatibilty pack to enable a person to play against Skarlet. The free DLC will also have alternate costumes for Cyrax and Sektor, based on their MK3 costumes.

I just found out the arcade I usually went to is now relocating to a location that's closer to my house This is so awesome. I would be in heaven if they upgraded their DDR machine too.

In other news this week was so stressful. Today I was working on 4 different final tasks that was worth a fair amount of my final mark (one of them is worth 30%). And next week are my exams... Oh this is going to be fun
On the plus side it will be all over for two months.

Saw one at NYCC/NYAF last year, complete with BFS. He said it took him a while to make the sword accurately. There were also three Taokaka cosplayers, a Jin, a Noel, a Litchi (with the required big rack), and a Bang. I wanted to shout out GAUNTLET HADES for the hell of it, but Javits* security wouldn't have it.

Speaking of NYCC/NYAF, I have my confirmation for my press badge for this year's con.

Just got news NZ isn't going to get blind bags after all. Now I've gotta find some way of ordering a stack of them from europe, hopefully they wont' cost too much. Else I'll have to spring 50 bucks for a giftset from the US.

So my laptop's graphics is definitely going to hold the modern games back, even ones released in 2008. Must be why I can't run Amnesia: The Dark Descent above 20 Frames Per Second.

The laptop card is ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4250 with 256 MB. While the CPU is decent (Phenom X4 N970), and 4 GB of DDR3 RAM helps, the graphics will kill the new titles horribly. I might as well buy a modern desktop with either Intel's 2011 i7 Core, or AMD's six or eight-cored CPU, along with modern GFX cards.

If this can't run Bad Company 2, then this computer will fail in Battlefield 3.

I couldn't find the N970 in the search results on the site above, so I had to go somewhere close.
