You make a really good point here; just look at how the GROOVE COASTER ZERO -> GROOVE COASTER 2 ORIGINAL STYLE turned out...TAITO's tactic is rather ingenious for making money, giving us the option to purchase the AC charts of song packs that we've already purchased. I wouldn't be surprised if KONAMI did the same thing with jubeat plus Hold Markers............however, with the jubeat lab in existence, it might blow my theory out of the water. It would certainly be generous if KONAMI just gave us the chart additions, but they would need to make a seriously huge update for that, so this is my theory:

FREE HOLD MARKER CHART ADDITIONS:
Possibility #1 - Have an update that allows you to download said charts in the jubeat plus store.
^: Because not all charts have Hold Markers, the ones that do would have to be available somewhere in the store to download, and not to mention, the song pack that the song came from must be confirmed as purchased already.

Possibility #2 - Have an update that checks if all necessary existing music pack data (one-time internet-required boot-up) is on the device, then download the necessary Hold Marker charts.
^: To avoid this game becoming dependent on a constant internet connection, it would be most convenient if they gave us a button somewhere in the Settings to CHECK for Hold Marker charts (highly doubt this would be implemented).

Possibility #3 - Have an update to implement a "POINT" system to "buy" (unlock) the Hold Marker charts.
^: But you'd of course need to have the song(s) on your device.


PAID HOLD MARKER CHART ADDITIONS:
Possiblity #1 - Have an update to the jubeat store that adds the Hold Marker charts for sale individually or music pack-wise (even if the pack just contains one song with Hold Markers); maybe there would even be "Hold PACK(s)". I doubt it'd be anything less than 120 YEN if implemented.

Possibility #2 - Add the option to "UNLOCK" (buy) the Hold Marker version chart on the difficulty select frame of songs, which would be a new IAP.



I can't think of any other way as of now, but I'm hoping for the FREE possibilities.


Anyways, for the 'prop the world' questionnaire, I made sure to put "CAN'T ALWAYS CONNECT TO INTERNET" and "I PLAY jubeat plus ON AIRPLANES, TRAINS, AND WHILE TRAVELING".........I don't want this game to become dependent on a constant internet connection.


Lastly, I believe that Konami is holding back on the jubeat plus copious theme in lieu of the release of iOS 9. We're currently at jubeat plus version 3.6.2; the copious update (if the tradition stands) should hit at 4.0.0, and I have a feeling that it just won't be a theme change...I think that they might try implementing some kind of new system. Perhaps this will be unveiled at TGS 2015 (around two months from now) at the Konami booth, but chances seem undeniably low even THIS late.

Apple just formally announced the iPad Pro with a gorgeous 12.9 inch display. Can you just imagine playing games like jubeat plus or REFLEC BEAT plus on it *drool*

I'm really happy they added Hanenaki shoujo uta...but where is the pack for Reflec Beat plus? Jubeat plus has always gotten priority for new packs, when Reflec is still missing hundreds of songs.

'Cause jubeat is just that much better!
Hehe, all jokes aside, jubeat still came out before REFLEC BEAT and their CS versions respectively; it is only expected that jubeat's library is larger...not to mention, I see more people playing jubeat in the arcade than REFLEC BEAT. I personally have more fun playing jubeat, but that's just me.

And as for the iPad Pro, I can see myself having more fun with REFLEC BEAT plus than with jubeat plus because I'm already used to the 9.7-inch iPad display; the larger screen would result in some major adjustments to playing style for jubeat plus. I sure hope that Konami has been expecting a 12.9-inch display because they would surely (finally, long overdue) have to update to FULL RETINA SUPPORT for both jubeat plus and REFLEC BEAT plus....and for the love of God, the long overdue copious update.

In any case, I will wait on the iPad Pro 2/Plus because I want the 4K video support as well as the other neat little features that the newly announced 6S/6S plus series has that the iPad Pro does not have. Marketing...

I personally wouldn't do mind a unique jubeat plus theme at this point since we're so behind the arcade themes. Who knows, TGS is around the corner, they might surprise us with a new theme and perhaps the chance to reunite with Sweet Rain and Snow Goose lol.

They really should call this SOUND VOLTEX PAD (and nice idea on the analogs in order to handle crossing patterns)

TGS 2015 is almost over, and Konami hasn't shown anything for mobile platforms (or PCs [INFINITAS]) yet, there is only one day remaining, and I have little hope that they'll reveal something that'll make me jizz in my pants.

Wow another crossover pack just for jubeat plus?!?!!? With some fantastic choices like my favorite good-cool song ever. Being mostly caught up with the AC versions has its perks too. They gotta keep players interested. And I wonder how much longer until hold markers are finally implemented???

Probably the best pack I've seen in a while for Jubeat Plus. In the Ruins (One of my favorite BEMANI songs) and Star Ship Hero are great choices for this pack.
Hopefully more packs like this follow.

We are currently all out of non-hold arcade charts, so we probably won't be seeing anymore regular arcade packs until we get a hold note update.

It says: Download failed. Continuing from here will reset your marker to the default.

Strange. When I opened my game, the marker was reset to the knit marker. No idea why a download would affect that.

Edit: I wonder how many concept and crossover packs they'll add before they update the game with hold markers?

If you're implying the need to retroactively update them, that's not the case. Remember, hold marker charts are completely new charts, and have had separate entries compared to their normal counterparts at the arcades. Unlike vertical notes, which are actually a required element for new songs in Reflec, holds are extraneous in Jubeat, so I think only songs with arcade [2] chart sets will get something, maybe as a gift that requires you buy the original pack.

Ps: Speaking of gifts, what are those 4 you haven't gotten? My ocd's getting the best of me on this one.

Hold notes are needed for pretty much all the new prop songs that haven't been released on plus.

This is what I meant, DDR Addict. Maybe for the [2] chart unlocks they'll do it similar to pop'n rhythmin, where if you purchased the whole pack, you got the songs unlocked in the Arcade Viewer, so purchasing the whole pack in jubeat plus will get you the [2] charts.


The two Chronos Ring songs, and the two Milk&Coffee Love songs. The number should be 6, I haven't gotten the Legend of Konami songs or the BTR songs either.

RB plus and jubeat plus each have things the other is lacking. Jubeat gets way more non-concept song packs, but it hasn't gotten system updates like RB, like the long overdue copious theme and hold markers. And while RB gets system updates, it doesn't get as many song packs of any kind, and it's lacking a sorting system in the store like jubeat has.
