I agree Daiz. The real fans of DDR will buy the game regardless, so why cater to an audience that will never leave? It makes no business sense...

Well with the licenses and the KO's so far, not only are they appealing the DDR fans, but they are trying to get more people into the game by introducing a whole new batch of licenses that are pretty popular...for it's time and junk

Lawlz Disturbia, Lady Gaga, and Ice Ice Baby. Sounds like another DDRX. I can't wait to see how much we all hate it when it comes out.
And to Shubox's question, DDR wants to attract new audiences so they put in songs people will recognize.

I fail to see how its another DDR X, seeing as DDR X had almost no licenses that were easily recognizable to anyone and almost no KOs by known Bemani artists.

The exact opposite of what they did with DDR X.And to Shubox's question, DDR wants to attract new audiences so they put in songs people will recognize.

DDR X songs are unfamiliar to the crowd..but with a little introduction, it turned out good..only some of the songs..but with stepcharts it is a so-so. The next DDR, for me, would be the exact opposite like Nipponophiliac mentioned =)

As long it's not a cover, it's a master track I think.
a master track is one where the vocals, drums, bass, guitar, synth, etc are all on their own track. the covers in GH, for example, ARE masters, but they arent the originals(this is why guitar hero advertises with sayings like "master tracks by the original artists")
putting holes in happiness (nick zinner remix) from GH3, for example, is a master track despite being a remix of the original.
anarchy in the u.k. from GH3 is another example of a master track, despite not being the original recording of the song, but a re-recording by the original artist(why it shows as a 2007 song despite being much older).
sweet child o mine in GH2, as another example, is also a master, its just not the original master by gun's n roses.

OLR has some footage from E3:
Wii Dynamite Rave Basic
PS2 Closer Difficult
You can see that Closer doesn't have its PV on the PS2 version, so its still possible that Disturbia's could be added in the final product.
In the Wii video you can hear the previews for the KOs.

The dancers from Wii version are looking less and less cartoony from HP1. Which is good of course.
Also, about the new dynamite rave. Are they saying in the lyrics "Everybody's working for the weekend" when the old lyrics said "Listen to the music and feel that beat" ?

Oh shit, Rage gets his breakdancing back on. also Rena looks pretty good, as do the background dancers and the stage in the Wii Version. Actually, the whole Wii Version looks awesome, haha.

Yeah, I think the Wii version looks really great graphically. The only thing(s) for me is that I would prefer it be a traditional song wheel, and I'd prefer banners instead of the Universe-esque CD art.

The games are looking nice. So I'm guessing we've ditched the X scale in favor of the original 10 because Closer definitely was a 5 (an easy 5 but still a 5).

It could still be DDR X scale. The 1-10 ratings on X are like the old 1-8 so a 5 would probably still look like an easy old 5. It seems to me that it's still the X scale, because the bars are still yellow as though their meant to be overlapped with red, rather than them being the color of the difficulty like SN2 and before. Though Dynamite Rave being a 9 on the X scale still puzzles me.
If they did go back to the old scale, then we're back to having 9s being harder than 10s and some 10s being twice as hard as other 10s. I don't really want that...

This is still the X scale, but Closer's ratings happen to be messed up.

It's a new version of the song, so it (likely) has new steps.EDIT: after watching OLR's Wii video, I find it funny that DYNAMITE RAVE's old BG was being used. At least it's only a beta.
