Btw in dA I find people seldom using the "name" field for their names. Like you can fill it so your page will show "Bearinahumansuit" and the next line... "math majors w00t" (badly thought line, sorry)

So, what was supposed to be a routine anti-virus update and scan on the Engineering library's Multimedia Area turned out to be a challenge on how to outwit the surabaya virus. McAfee won't install (those that have McAfee installed already are okay), It's Stinger program won't run, and I can't boot to safe mode (it automatically restarts). I'm afraid all this is not part of my current job description, and I'll leave the proper anti-virus removal to somebody else.
If this is showing up as wall o' text to you, I'm using the mobile version despite being on a computer.
P.S. My internship (formerly announced as on-the-job training), hopefully should end by Friday, so I can enjoy therest of summer start of the rainy season.

What? Surabaya virus? I think it originates from Indonesia, maybe. Local virus here, I think. Since Surabaya is the name of a city here.

That's what it says on the title bar on the window that pops up when one of the computers started up.
I'm pretty sure that's the origin too as evidenced by the broken english ("Don't kill me, I'm just send message from your computer...") accompanied by non-english sentences. I would upload the picture I took with my phone if I could.

Kind of reminds me of when a friend of mine saw me play Universe 3's Oni chart for Conga and thought it was boring, so he made his own edit where he took all of the single, isolated steps and turned them into jumps, then complained that the steps didn't flow together anymore.
