I'm in the same situation. I have over 100 on all of my tests (because of the bonus points; I only actually have everything right on one of them), so whatever I get on the final (which is worth twice as much as a regular test ), my average will drop.




How would that work? If a future assigment were cancelled, it wouldn't be factored into the current average anyway, and the teacher won't turn around and change the point value of anything.

Weightings can be and (depending on school) often are adjusted after assignments are complete. If something he did less well on was suddenly weighted to be worth more, and the oral assignment's weight was lowered to compensate, it would reduce the overall average.

Though, and I'm assuming he's in high school, that is really odd and I've never heard of that kind of weirdness going on in a high school...
