No! Not at all, I have no idea what happened! What makes you say that, is this a common error or something?!

Because almost all the PlayStation games are structured the same, you can load one, replace it with another and continue playing with hilarious results.
I accidentally caused my copy of DDRMAX to become possessed when I placed my controller on top of my GSM cellphone. Every time a data packet came through the songwheel (regardless of position) went roulette and then stopped abruptly and immediately selected what song it landed on. Somehow the phone was setting off the electronics in the controller. Because I was just watching, the song would fail and I would get an E... but even though the game was set to arcade mode, after the results screen it would return to the songwheel and wait for the next data packet, then it would repeat the process.

This has happened to me before when the disk was smudged with fingerprints and scratches.
Once I cleaned the disk, everything went back to normal.

Here's a good one.
HIGHS OFF U not only drops an F-bomb, but if you listen closely, it samples Frankie Valli's hit Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You. Coincidentally, the cover of that same song from Dancemania X2 (IIRC) was set to appear on 3rd Mix but got the boot before the final release.

Oh yeah, I thought I heard it alright. And speaking of Highs Off U... the extended music video (trippy s**t) from EX US:
Is that really Paula Terry? Also, the girl in bikini on the vinyl record is the original rapper, Miss Da Mina.

Me or someone else probably mentioned it before earlier in the thread, but here's an illustrated version while on the subject of music videos in American DDR releases:
Days Go By's video is rather interesting because there were two versions of it. The original music video showed the group sitting outside at a table watching the dancer. Later on, the song appeared in a Mitsubishi Eclipse commercial and another version of the music video was made that was exactly the same except Dirty Vegas was driving the '03 Eclipse.

The original version.

The alternate version advertising the car.
The American release of DDRMAX2 used the version featuring the car. They even used the scene of the group sitting in the car for the official background.

And here's the commercial that featured the song:

I was wondering if someone could confirm this in DDR X2. Apparently, during Versus or Doubles play, the placement of the characters in the background varies on which green button (the confirm button) is pressed first after inserting your credits. If you are on the right side, the male characters will be on the right and the female characters will be on the left and vice versa. This does not apply to Single play.
I'm not really sure about this but I kinda noticed it when I was watching my recordings.

That DDRMAX video reminded me: the groove radar for BABY BABY GIMME YOUR LOVE
was glitched. It was actually taken from Synchronized Love (Red Monster Hyper Mix)

Actually, the beginning of the slowdown in both songs is ripped from the original Paranoia.

Paranoia D-
Sure, but Konami puts the pieces together the same way for both songs, so that's why I say they are more similar to each other rather than to the original Paranoia.

To be honest, I have suspected for a while (since I noticed the paranoia similarity on Revolution's single:cha
that maybe Revolution's
step chart might also be a mash just like the heavy. The issue is that the songs are probably going to be more obscure and difficult to trace. I would recommend looking to Jp console only boss songs and seeing if we can turn up something. If anyone else is game, I've been looking to suggest this for a while and just not really sure how to go about it.
I never bothered, because certainly someone else would have found this by now, right?

The heavy chart isn't really interesting. It's almost entirely jumps on heavy doubles.
Also, the standard chart is fantastic. You should look it up. I think it might actually be an 8 old scale as well. >.>

Trip Machine Evolution feels like a completely different song. Even though it uses the general structure of a Trip Machine song, it doesn't use any of the actual sounds from any other Trip Machine, except for a few samples used in Trip Machine before.
Paranoia Revolution on the other hand is a true remix because it uses a ton of samples from other Paranoia songs, and the samples used in this song may come from almost every single Paranoia, especially the beginning which uses a sample from the original, and a sample from Paranoia Evolution (not Revolution). Other familiar samples however aren't present, but the sample used in the slowdown section is obvious, using sounds from 2ndMIX similar to Max. (Period). The main tempo of the song is double the original Paranoia, but in the slowdown section is the exact same tempo as the original Paranoia.
For Example, at the 1:00 mark you can hear the sample that starts towards the very beginning of Revolution:
I don't know about -Respect- or ~Hades~, but the main series is where it gets most of its samples.
The
stepchart consists of a bunch of other charts, and the slowdown section consists of all the major Paranoia charts minus -Respect-, but the
chart slowdown is what was mentioned in a previous post.
Also in SuperNOVA 2, did you notice the 200 bpm section in Pluto Relinquish
/
is very similar, if not exact?

When 2ndMIX was out, Double/
was as high it went. Paranoia didn't get a Double/
until 4thMIX.

True. And interestingly, the
Both those charts were made exclusively for EuroMIX, so I'd expect them to be fairly inconsistant.
