Hey, just got to playing Mario Mix. I have to say what should I count as a AAA in that game? Because there are 5 difficulties Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard, and Super Hard. (No Pun Intended)

Thanks silverhawke. Yeah 4th+ is a little weird definitely takes some getting used to but after a couple rounds it doesn't feel that bad anymore. 4th+ is probably my favorite mix. Are there any 4th+ machines near you? I know they're hard to come by

Yeah, luckily I have one nearby (yeah, only one). I think I'll try it out when I have decent perfect control.

#662 Boys challenge 4th mix

Here are my latest AAA's.

Gagaai - VERY hard, and VERY frustrating to AAA. That 3rd mix timing window is TINY.


My Favorite Things - Easy. The 16th stream with the jump is the only really frustrating part, and that was only when the pads were in poor shape.


Chikara - Pretty difficult to come in on an MA/PA imo. Does anyone else have problems with this as well with the sudden start?


Flow - Pretty easy, it helped a ton playing on a SN2 instead of an SN.


Me Against the Music - Easy. got it right after Flow before I left the arcade.


dream of love - AAA'd with a down arrow that would trigger on any step taken lol. One of the only AAA's possible with the pads in such poor shape.


So Many Men - VERY rare AAA. This was the only 3rd Mix Exclusive (besides the KV2 songs). Its was VERY difficult to AAA and I had to pull out many techniques to get the AAA that usually aren't needed.


Rose - One of the last KV2 songs I can probably get. The only others I can think of are Starian (god its broken) and Gimme Gimme (aka picky picky).


Golden Sky - I AAA'd this ages ago. I think it was my 3rd AAA, but I never counted it. Just took a pic of the record screen to ashow that it was done. Of course when I played it I got one great lol

Feels Just Like It Should - Yawn.


In other news... I am now banned from Gameworks in Schaumburg, so the SN and X2 pictures taken up there will be my last from this location. SN is not really a big deal since the SN2 machine (which is now 100% working) is a lot closer and about $2.00 cheaper (YES, you read that correctly!). A little bummed about X2, but I am trying to see what my options are for a upgrade on my machine. If anyone really wants to hear the story about how I got banned from Gameworks, I'll be happy to share in another thread.

And I will post the 3 hardest AAA's I got from TKD.

3. Celebrate Nite Super Maniac - One more arrow then the normal heavy chart in other games, but difficult to read and time on TKD.


2. Pure Mind Super Maniac - Awful song, awful boring chart.


1. Africa Super Maniac - Hard as hell to time, and has some oddly placed arrows. The chart is fun when your not going for PA.

If you can get an upgrade kit from japan that'd be even better since (if they're anything like the Japanese X upgrades) they're leaps and bounds better timing-wise than the US/EU dedis.

However, you'll need to do the necessary legwork to get it to run on your cab:
First off you'll need the EXT-IO board and the appropriate wiring loom for it (same as Supernova and Fusion), and secondly you'll need to tinker with the XP Embedded to get it to work properly on your existing monitor. (ie, Soft15khz or Powerstrip) unless there's already a setting for low resolution monitors?
