Anway, for SN3, I just want a new rating system. One that's consistent at the upper end, like Arrapeiatta getting the 10 it deserves (I always get owned by that song, practically the only non-boss 9 I can't do, I swear the crossovers make it harder than PS, Max 300, and the fan-made 10's I've done).
I also want challenge charts for songs, not the decline of having challenge only for boss songs.
I realize they may want to stick with a 1-10 rating system to make it seem simpler, but they're really pushing it with the new 10s. Having 11s and 12s would make it easier to remember which ones are harder, than just memorizing which order they were made in (with a few exceptions (HDVE, Xepher, PRD), newer 10s are harder, right?).

I agree. And I want all songs from the start back, Challenge, and Beginner for ALL songs. Raise the difficulty from 10 to 12 (or maybe 13), and THEN, I'm happy.

Contrary to popular opinion, I don't think EVERY song should have challenge charts. Not all boss songs need them, (even though Konami thinks otherwise) and not all non-bosses need them either. Nor do they have much potential.

They should keep it like EX, where only a select few that deserve one, get one. And I thought that havving Challenge-only charts was a neat little gimmick, so I have no problems with that.

I'd be happy with the challenge chart even if for most of the songs they just rearranged some steps and added a few, like "Sana Mollete Ne Ente (B.L.T. Style)" on Ex2US, and "Doll" on Sn1US. The heavy/expert and challenge charts for those two had nearly identical step counts, but they were arranged differently to make them more difficult for challenge.
That being said, no more stupid crap like what they did with PSM, just using mirror, and FAXX, just changing a bit of the beginning and making a couple of the final streams end in jumps.

It's Agnus, not Angus. And seriously, stop trying to say brand new songs that you want to see, because the odds of it happening are very unlikely indeed (Poseidon Trance Mix? Poseidon IS trance!). For example, what KOs or CS originals do you want to see?

That was originally a 2/7/8, but they made a new Standard and bumped everything up, as opposed to actually making a new Challenge chart. But still, yeah, stuff like this should be what Konami should be concentrating on, not uber-hard Challenge charts which more people are going to gawp at than actually like dancing to.

Ah, okay, interesting to learn the lineage of that chart. I knew something was up when I found it in an ultramix pack (can't remember which one, would look it up if it was important), and found what I had previously played as challenge on heavy.

And I second the concentrating on good 8-9 charts, not uber-hard 12s and 13s. I want them to work on the range I can play without nearly vomiting from exertion afterwards.
I like most of the 8-9s in SN2 (except konoko, I just don't understand the 16th runs in the middle), they should stick with the same design philosophy for the next one (don't go the direction of Sunkiss Drop, most repetitive chart I know of, yes I realize the music it's following repeats too.).

I thought Konoko's main problem was the random YNS about halfway through. I think the 16th runs fit the drum pattern very well. Still, I would like to see easier songs get Challenge charts. Par example, I quite like the song think ya better D, but always thought that the steps were a bit too easy for me to play on an AC when I could spend my cash on harder, better stepcharts (hello, Quickening!). Even if we get more 7-foot Challenge charts, that's great, as Konami really know how to do fun 7s (well, loads of songs have 7-foot charts, don't they?)

Uh...normally you add your reply at the end of the quote...as in pressing Quote, leaving all the code alone, then typing what you want at the end.

It wouldn't be an NSM, as it's not featured in a DDR/IIDX that had one. I think you're getting confused between NSMs and Challenge-only songs, but seeing as no new Challenge-only songs have appeared since EXTREME (or MAX2), they seem unlikely. However, a Challenge chart of a 9, with a Heavy chart of 8, and so on...that would be very good.

Green'd be an unlikely choice, as Extreme already had that. Purple? If it's a lightish purple, like with SN2, that'd be great.
