Wow, I don't think many people have noticed that. (Including me.) Props to you.
But yeah, there's a lot of evidence that it's train-themed. The train-map style background, a new song being called Routing, speculation that the title is an Engrish "Coupler" (train component)... I think we've found our theme. We'll see once the loctest happens.

Here in Korea, iidx fans gave it the nickname "섹투덱" (sex2dx).

I thought it was mainly white with hints of blue, red, and yellow, with the latter 3 being extra stage frame colors and the like.

That would be awesome, and would actually make sense, considering the theme might actually involve bullet trains/subways, since you're going from station to station; some being new, others being renovations of older stations.

A CORE REMIX-esque IIDX is something I've wanted for a very long time. Taking this supposed train theme into consideration, maybe it may involve events that take you to different "stations" that represent some or all of the past IIDX installments and include remixes and/or reinterpretations of past songs. That's what I would do for the game, at least.
