beatmania IIDX 21 SPADA (AC) (Japan)

I had a feeling I was going to like Adularia.

Someone described Adularia like this: "it sounds like more of the same (i.e. Valanga) but in a really good way, like, I can tell it's TOTTO, but it's still going to be unique." That pretty much sums it up for me.
I've said this multiple times in multiple other places, but EXTREME MACH COLLIDER is absolutely fantastic, and I'm so glad to see the old L.E.D. back.
INSOMNIA is also amazing, but I dread hearing it played over and over and over and over the first couple of weeks SPADA is available. You know that's going to happen.

The UI also looks fantastic, and I am in full support of the results screen showing all that useful information. That is going to be so handy when I take score pics.

All in all, I'm super excited for SPADA- assuming some arcades are open at 7am JST (which is when e-AMUSEMENT gets turned back on and SPADA should be active for those arcades that have updated), info should begin to roll in around 2pm PST, 3pm MST, 4pm CST, 5pm EST, and 10pm GMT.

4PM CST? Just when I get out of class.

Best news of the day I've got. And the BEMANI Live stream introduced us to three really good songs, hyped up for the rest of the default songlist when SPADA releases a few days from now.

Adularia: DJ TOTTO is shaping up to be one of my favorite BEMANI artists, and he hasn't even made that many songs yet. If he sticks around longer for IIDX then along with Tomosuke (as Zektbach and Kuroneko Dungeon), Nekomata, Gekidan Record (and the like) he may well be the next in-house composer of "epic" music for the series. Good stuff.
EXTREME MACH COLLIDER: Old school L.E.D. finally. I would like to see more stuff like this and THE BLACK KNIGHT or THE STRONG JAEGER return to beatmania. Would make an excellent contrast to the new HARDCORE TANO*C artists that seem to get a larger share in the hardcore aspect of the game's music.
INSOMNIA: Songs like rottel-the-sun or rottel-the-Mercury come to mind immediately. Diversity is always good, seems a very interesting track.

Also, how long until a place like Golfland gets this game? I know places like Round1 USA are going to get it first, but those are 6 hours away. Golfland is about an hour and a half from me.

Sure, people mainly play high level another songs, but it's nice to have low-level too sometimes...

I personally love Funny Shuffle (though that A chart is hellish!)
m1dy Deluxe, Odin, EXTREME MACH COLLIDER, Overload Frontier and some others are pretty nice (I will put them on my playlist on the OST is out)

Also, it should be noticed that the Another charts are overall very scratch heavy, far more than previous versions of IIDX (or at least, the 5 people with me in the game center all reached that consensus)

Definitely has the nostalgia feel to some of the BGVs from earlier IIDX games.

I've not herd all the songs yet (Would love to hear funny shuffle and DARK LEGACY) but from what I've herd I LOVE this mix. So far best songs I've herd is Miracle 5ympho X, Insane Techniques, the new ZODIAC ORACLE song, diagram, m1dy Deluxe, and Odin. rainbow guitar weeps sounds like it was ripped right out of 8th style, and it's awesome.

Worst songs to me are ALBA (come on where's the SDVX SOUND HOLIC? Bright glow Sound Holic sucks), Devilz Sacrifice, and 旋律のドグマ ～Misérables～. (Prim went the Hi-GOTH route and we at last get a Zektbach style BGA in HD and it goes to a freaking PRIM song >_>). I've not herd WOBBLE IMPACT but I've herd nothing but bad things about it, it sounded good on the preview but I'll say more about it when I hear it myself.

Overall I'm freaking loving this mix but I can see how someone could say there's too much hardcore or too dark.

Thought they would go the right way but they butchered it at release.
Hopefully the unlocks will save the day.

I think it's the fact that the default song list is over 50% NON-Konami artists that's turning some people off.
