I read faster on keyboard too!
On Pad my default speedmod is x4 on keyboard it`s x5 .... or x1-x1.5 higher than I`d play on Pad...
So if I play something on Pad with x3 seep I`ll use x4 or x4.5 on it

Average speed Pad: 550-650bpm
Average seed Keyboard: 700-850bpm
depends on song...some songs I play slower than others....for example: I usually play x3.75 or x4 on 150 bpm songs (on Pad) But I use only x3 on Bloodrush.
On keyboard it`s the same...avarage speed is just about 100bpm faster.

btw : I play everything Overhead.

250bpm in 4x is like...eh...
300 in 4x is just dumb.

LOL, I just saw the first score then had a breakdown (a high score on a 14), then posted. You Sir have amazing keyboard playing abilities, my best would probably be an 11 footer on keyboard and it wouldn't be pretty, I'm far better on pad.

My StepMania/ITG/blabla configuration is still a mess (the delay change somehow and it's around 100ms... wtf).
Since 2 years, i have no decent configuration to try to quad stuff like i use to did. So when i play i mostly play hard stuff.

I tested some Gamma songs yesterday (and today).
I did 3 tries yesterday (not in a row) on this song, i was better warmed up on the last one :

Got some decents other improvements toobut sometimes it's SO much frustrating, i got some greats out of nowhere (on 7 or 17 feets, it doesn't change anything)... freaking keyboard/windows7... T_T
It's so broken that my scores on 8' are similar at my scores on 14'...

Care about the rating Lucie, especially in custom. A lot of them are rated higher than it should be.
Also you can't pass shake it but a 13 ? O_o
GJ still but that's weird, it might be a 12 then.

I'm confused because i don't know any of those songs except Shake It. How are you doing on officials 11/12/13 ?

@Hellrazor: (excuse the late response lol) Thanks man, it's just practice really. I've been playing SM for 3 years and a half now, give or take a few months. Now compare that to my pad experience, where I've been playing for 2 years at most. I'm surprised that you're better at pad than keyboard, most people find keyboard waaaaay easier than pad haha. XD

@Panstyle: Cheers bro. I know I can improve 'em though, Demonheart will get tristarred and I'll see if any other songs look vulnerable. (Y) Also your vid is just nuts, your Arcane score doesn't surprise me anymore haha. See if you pass your first 18 if you haven't already, I've passed Facebreaker from SSSC2 as my first and Juggernaut (V01D's version) as my second.

@Lucie: Good passes as usual. What you can do on Shake It is to play it on a lower rate mod (0.9) to try and get used to the patterns, then speed it back up to normal music rate and try again. I know that's how I got Vertex Beta passed, I just slowed it down to get used to the gay awkward jumps as well as the streams. Some files I'd suggest (they're more or less in difficulty order based on what I've passed on pad, easiest first): Summer Kamp, Fire! (Cosmic Pope's version), Feels Just Like That Night, Hyper Hyper, Theme From The Rock, Delirium and Monotone.

@ Pan Style: I wasn`t sure about the Shining Polaris being a 13...but the other 2 were way harder...

Oh and I was about passing a Dragonforce song but then I had such a bad cramp and failed....
Shake it is a very hard 12 for me cause of the long stream.
The 13s I passed had 24th and 32nd and a lot of 16ths... but no nonstop streams...
That`s why I can`t do Shake it. It`s more than my brain can handle right now...

definitely NOT a 12!! I think I can get it... I just had such a bad cramp during the song...and my right arm still hurts...so I think it`s better to stop playing for today...really...my arm hurts very bad!

Maybe you need to train more on paterns (or reading abilities) and acuracy now. But keep praticing hard stuff too. So you will improve all aspect of the game.
I think you'll get Above The Winter Moonlight soon.


Actually, i cleared my 3 firsts 18' monday when i got Tachyon Gamma (all first try) :
Extratone Pirates : 84.85
Rocket Rider : 83.15
We write at two five five : 77.86

But it's really meh. I feel like cheating because i can't control my finger at this speed and i'm doing crap (that's why i didn't mentionned those scores).
I have a bit this feeling on 17' too but some scores improved a bit.
I need to work on 240-255bpm stream speed anyway. In the video, stream speed is aprox' 225bpm. I think i'm confortable with if i did a decent warm up.

I never tried the 18 that you cleared. Also maybe i should try some songs from the Rhapsody pack but i'll be pissed by my scores xD
Like i said i'll post some double sores sometimes and also some scores on 9'/13' just to show again how ridiculous my set up is >.>

Rocket Rider : 87.05 (i played this one a lot, i love it)
We write at two five five : 87.24 (only 2nd try, first try is above lol)

Played today and got some new stuffs.

17' Star'd #5 : The footswitchs got me everytimes but i finnaly got a star on it (i played it a LOT since i first tried it monday).


17' Star'd #6 : Well i trough i could star it again with better score but i ended frustrated. Did maybe 6 tries or more and got 95% most of the times.


17' Star'd #7 : The 24ths drills are sick to do, i'm really bad at it.


I was so broken after those scores >.<

Sightread this. Score comes out to 89.91%. This is supposed to be a 9, but it felt harder than that to me.

Wow, I did so much better on this! And that score is 93.46% in ITG terms, which is...an S. DAMMIT. I'll be happy with just starring this, really.

I should stop caring for songs I`ll never pass and should start to care for the songs I WILL pass some day...
