IIRC, years ago (we're talking 2001), U1 said he did not envision himself composing for any series other than DDR and that his songs were really only meant for DDR. To this day he hasn't composed outside DDR (to my knowledge), but Flow did crossover to pop'n, so the "U1 doesn't crossover" barrier has been broken.

Yeah, considering that the album-exclusives don't have that generic drum loop in the background you're probably right. 
Unless... they integrate the mathematics part of the Zektbach story into this style and add L'erisia!
