Sounds like it's 2 games in 1, Empress & Greatest Hits. Does that also mean that this will be the final PS2 IIDX?

October 15th will be a very good day indeed ^^, although I don't see why Konami would stop making ps2 releases if they sell so well they even make it to the States... (even if it's not certain).

Um, what? They don't sell in the States at all, and they really don't make a killing in the Japanese home market either. PS2 is on it's last year, pretty much, there's every reason for this to be the final PS2 release. We're fully into the PS3/XBox360/Wii generation now.

And also, people can't really expect the IIDX series to stay on the PS2 all the time. It's bound to move to the PS3. It's common sense.

I meant for people who buy from Play Asia. And I guess you've got a point with the ps2 being pretty outdated now, so yeah I guess it's pretty logical. I just wanted a CS edition for Sirius

KONAMI really seems to support the PS2 however. Just look at the Silent Hill: SM release. It's for Wii, PSP and PS2. No Xbox 360 or PS3 present there.

Can you not hack a memory card and use that uLaunch or whatever it's called?

FreeMCB needs patched games to run them via ESR anyway, which pretty much negates any point in buying it if you're just going to burn a copy... and if you're not going to buy it you might as well be playing Empress right now. You need Magic Switch Pro V4 for a SCPH-7500, that will let you use Swap Magic still as you need tool F.
Really looking forward to this release, the Premium Best list looks great to me. Wondering what the Special Edition will be like this time around too, interested if there'll be anything different for the final PS2 release.
