Oh darn it Al! What happened to the star counts?
(only slightly whining, more curiosity than anything)

Well, okay, I guess I'm more upset because now there's less pink on my screen than before. You need to get the header thing fixed. ;)

The new header saves a bit of screen space, but, what you gonna do when you must put a time counter like the DDR X one in v5?

I'm thinking about the countdown thing very soon, and yeah the idea was to save screen space for people stuck on smaller screen sizes.
According to Google Analytics, the people that go on my site:
1. 1024x768 (33%)
2. 1280x800 (20%)
3. 1280x1024 (16%)
and the rest...
Even I've got 1920x1200, but I'd like to optimize it for the most popular resolution.
And don't worry, the header images are coming back, it's just a case of where to put everything and how to code it.
And I'ma get some sleep, so I'll sort things out tomorrow.

I"m not sure if anybody else uses this, but it would be nice to have back "User Ratings". I always keep a tab on the ratings and always going back to see if the user deserves the rating that I gave them.
And wow, I see a lot of blue around the sides. I'm thankful that you didn't select white as it would have hurt my eyes.
If you have yet to think of a place to put the Header, you can always put it where the site's name appears at the top. Or put it at the bottom of the page and switch it to footer!

Well I can't optimize it for those sizes otherwise the site will display too little information.

If you're going to have that empty space on the sides, then fill it with a color related to the theme.

v5.2 looks sexy now that it has a black border rather than the blue border.
I also noticed the placement of the user name. If a person receives a PM, where would the notification pop up?
Edit: A good suggestion would be to place the user name to the far right as people are used to the Forums button being the second from the left.
(I just caught myself clicking on my own user name multiple times. -_-')

The usual flashing red "New PM" Message shows up next to PMs in the user menu. What;s kind of inconvenient is that you can miss PMs if you forget to scroll over your name.Maybe you can move the PM message to be on top of or by the User name in the menu bar? That way it would still be on the page.
That's what I liked about the message was that it was impossible to miss.

Seriously? It's on the drop down menu?
That won't work. Moving the username to the far right would remedy this situation. It'll give space for the notification to pop up.
I just sent a PM to a friend so I hope he sees it as the PM was a test to see where it pops up.

User name on the tab will blink if there's a PM now. The blink will not work on IE6 I think; not too sure on IE7/IE8.

I sent myself a PM to check if my username blinks. It doesn't. :c
